don't know what exactly you're referring to when you say, "give Miles all the blame." I wouldn't give any coach all the blame. The performance of a TEAM is much more complicated than that.
I know this.you know this, but dont act like there isnt posters on here that blame Miles for everything negative and yet don't give him credit for anything.

This is total BS. I've never seen a single poster who hasn't given Miles ANY credit for his past record.

I blame only the players for the play calling and the offensive philosophy

This proves you dont know cfb. A qb draw can go for an 80 yard td run, if executed right. Our offensive philosophy is fine. Did you miss last year?

couldn't every play go for an 80 yard td if executed correctly?

We get that you wake up aroused in the middle of the night dreaming of Miles and the 2013 offense. But get over yourself.
For you to constantly come on here and say that "there is no problem with the scheme it's only about execution" is just fricking stupid. Of course if every play in the history of football was executed perfectly it would have a chance to be successful.
Running into stacked boxes on 1st and 2nd down and trying to block 9 guys with seven isn't JUST an execution issue. It's easier for the other team to stop you if they know what's coming. It's easier for the other team to stop you if they don't have to defend 65% of the field.
The 2013 "scheme" wasn't the same as what they ran this year. The 2013 scheme was designed to take advantage of a QB that could make all the throws to two legit WRs. The 2014 scheme was designed to hide the QB at all costs and run, run, run, and maybe throw a bomb or something outside the hashes if they absolutely had to. It wasn't even close to the same.
Hell, what they ran against A&M wasn't the same thing they ran against Arkansas the week before. So quit trying to compare the two. Our offense was good in 2013 and it sucked in 2014 and it wasn't just about the execution of it.
For someone that constantly runs from thread to thread trying to "educate " other posters on football knowledge you have absolutely no fricking idea what you are talking about.
Tell us more about how no college offenses are innovative. I enjoy hearing about that.

There's a difference between scheme and playcalling

Are you trying to insinuate 2013 and 2014 were "schematically" the same?
Posted on 12/17/14 at 9:54 pm to nm1230
Schematically, sure. Though they probably threw out 40% of the Mett OBJ Landry plays and added designed QB runs and read option.

1. 10 wins is easy with a 12 game schedule
2. He wins on talent alone.
3. Any idiot can get to 10 wins with the program he was handed
4. He won with sabans players
5. LSU recruits itself
That's pretty much people not giving him credit.

I can't name a poster that literally blames Miles for everything negative, and doesn't give him credit for anything. However, I have seen Pumpers/Miles Defenders (I don't mean to be insulting with the Pumper label, but it works to identify who I'm referring to and it is generally befitting) grossly exaggerate and misrepresent the position of posters who give a critical opinion, which mostly stifles the chance at a good argument/discussion. At that point, the argument shifts from the substance of the topic to arguing against the Pumper's misrepresentation, and oftentimes, the argument just devolves into goofy, crass personal attacks.
Another issue with this is that oftentimes people argue against a general sort of perceived common criticism (as opposed to something specific), and in doing so, create a vague, amalgamated caricature that they are arguing against as opposed to going point-by-point with the actual person who they're arguing with. This has become a popular way to argue on a wide range of subjects. Some people (Weasels) purposefully do this as a dishonest tactic, and create caricatural straw men to attack. If this type of general argument is in response to something real, and doesn't demonize or misrepresent people, then it can be useful.
Back to the topic, I have seen posters critique various aspects of the program, and suggest that LSU could do better with a different head coach, which is different than what you're talking about.

I don't think most posters post in terms of absolutes ("any" or "never"). That said, there are more than a handful who in one way or another try do discredit or dilute his successes.
On the flip side, there are Les defenders who are borderline cultic.

C'mon man. Mathematically impossible.
Only plays that start at your own 20 can result in 80-yard TDs. All others can never be 80-yard TDs.
Of course, any play at your 20 can result in an 80-yard TD.

Look at where we were twenty years ago. I'm happy with the program. My only question is who could we get as a head coach that is better than les at the moment. Saban won't come back. Harbaugh will go to Michigan it looks like. Realistically who do we get to get us to bamas level. I don't think anyone can.
