Can't make this stuff up.

Probably because AC costs a ton in a large facility, and in upstate NY, the hottest it'll get in there is 80.

Because they have heated underground tunnels instead.

Because it wasn't really a requirement for comfort in 1979. And, outside of a few games in September it doesn't need it. Its freezing inside there all basketball season.

Same reason the power went out in Reliant a few years ago.

It's incredibly ironic that a place named the "Carrier Dome" doesn't have AC. I always blamed Carrier for being cheap, but played golf a few weeks ago with a guy that was involved in the project. He told me that Carrier wanted to put massive chillers in the dome but the SU administration at the time didn't want to have to operate or maintain them, so declined Carrier's offer. It's not so bad in the winter for basketball or late in the football season, but it was downright steamy in there our first game. The higher up your seats are, the warmer it gets. The crowd tomorrow will make it pretty toasty.

As someone that works in upstate NY for most of the summer, AC is only needed from June to August so its not needed, now they could always open the roof on the dome and then we'd all be cool!

I was there last weekend with 30k in there and it was hot.

When I went to the 49k Clemson game two years ago, I almost passed out. It's gonna be warm in there tomorrow for sure.

Do they at least have air movers to keep it stirred up?

Most likely they did not install it during construction.

50% of the houses up there do not have air conditioning in them.

I dont think there is anything moving the air at all. If there is, you don't feel it.It's really only a problem in September/Early October games.

Looks like every seat inside is pretty close to the action, so should be fun, even if a little toasty.

It was 120 degrees on the field at Tiger Stadium last week. I think we will be OK

There are literally no bad seats/sitelines. Plus the stands are right on top of the action. Great venue although a little dated. Rumor is renovations are coming, including possibly AC.

Never said you wouldn't be ok. I realize you play in Louisiana.

These guys should look into naming rights for the field.
