Why is LSU so bad at navigating the NIL?

Who is blame here? The coaches? The local economy?

What part of NIL in particular are you referring to?

Jayden Daniels was a shite move by us....

This narrative needs to stop. Do you think Soloman Thomas was free? How about Pickett? You don't think Ole Miss offered a lot of money to Tyler Miller?

Probably not because they suck at HS recruiting and seem to dump it all into the portal which is a recipe for disaster.
Any university right now who only leans on one or the other is in big trouble. See FSU.
I'm not sure what Op is complaining about. LSU is pursuing a bunch of top guys in the portal right now and got an excellent HS class coming in. This is the right way to do it in a league that's now full of massive parity.
Just because LSU isn't slamming the door shut on other universities for the absolute cream of the crop at the top in transfer portal does not mean they're struggling to navigate NIL. Nobody is navigating it well if that's the case. If you haven't noticed, there's more parity now than probably ever in NCAA.

Are they?
Eh in some ways they are bad, but for the most part they are good. We just don’t have as many rich boosters as some other schools.
You’ve probably seen a big push on social media for the collective this past week after we lost out on some recruits. This push should have been happening months ago. The collective has not been great about getting their stuff out there and making people aware.

Posters that don’t donate sure do have a lot to say about NIL

Be patient, grasshopper.

They weren't bad per se. NIL came around when LSU had to alligate their money toward Ed O's buyout and other things first. Now that's over they can focus on NIL deals.
