I've learned over time that this board is slam full of irrational people. Not many exist.

Just look at the board since the beginning of the season. Absolutely nitpicking every single thing about the coaches and team apart.

What really convinces me to stay away as much as I can is that most people that do post here think that their arguments, strategies, plans, ideas, etc etc all are conceivable and would actually make a difference.

The "replacement coach" threads are the ones that are REALLY bad.

I'll sit back and watch but everyone that wants Les gone better be careful what they wish for. Just because it's LSU doesn't mean that the same thing can't happen to them that happened/happening to Tennessee, USC, Florida, Texas.....

Tread lightly for we could all be back to watching losing teams for up to a decade. No program is immune.

if you don't want to fire the coaching staff immediately and hire another staff immediately that runs the spread 100% of the time, there is a segment on here that will call you all kinds of names. they are making demands and want them NOW.

That's cool, but you singled out one player and that's not cool. I understand the frustration of guys getting beat, and 31 gets beat alot. however there are plenty of other players getting beat as well. 52 probably played a better game than 31, but his game wasn't anything to brag about either. And 31 has made some nice plays, even though most folks on here won't give him credit for them.

To be honest it's been quite a while since an LSU team has looked completely over matched in every phase of the game and that's what has most worried.
Negligent recruiting choices eventually catch up with any program, even top ten ones. (Especially in the Offensive and Defensive Lines)

Most of our OL's are not "Zone Blocking" S.E.C. caliber. GRIMES IS FIGHTING AN UPHILL BATTLE trying to get these guys to process information quickly and use team work. (And the battle will continue until he gets his own personally selected OL's in here)

All 5 OL's have to be on the same page. Individual size and strength is not as important. Will be not an over night fix.

Beckwith missed a couple open field tackles but his instincts at the position are off-the-charts better than welter. Brckwith will make those plays with more experience. Welter has that experience and contributes next to nothong other than literally falling arse backwards onto fumbles or into sacks. Beckwith almost forced what should have been a game changing turnoverbut Jefferson dropped the pick.

And stop referencing players by their numbers. It looks dumb. I just did it in an honest attempt to not pile on welter who im sure is a great guy but he dhould be limited to reserve and special teams duty.

Knee jerk reaction by many. I want to see improvement. I reserve judgement til the end.

Knee jerk reaction?

We were dominated 41-7 while running the ball 17 of the first 20 times, didn't give LF a carry for 12.5 minutes, didn't convert a single 3rd down, AND had a classic les Miles clock disaster.

And you're calling it a knee jerk reaction?

Ok man.

The offensive play calling has been poor and predictable. I call that coaching.
