We’re two maybe three plays away from being undefeated. We’ve seen some bad LSU football teams. This ain’t a bad team. I lean that we have a good team that’s still trying to figure it out and the injuries aren’t helping at all. We’re going to be a tough SOB to beat at home this year. So let’s go get State and find a way to win at Auburn. Then all bets are off with Death Valley rocking for Alabama and Texas. I’m not giving up just yet.

It's true. The 2 losses are tough but nobody is just beating us down, like you've seen in a lot of games this year with other big names. This team feels like they have all the pieces to be great, we just don't know how to make it click for 60 minutes sometimes.

This guy gets it.

Everyone thinks they’re a “process oriented” thinker until they get up in arms because of an upsetting outcome. LSU lost two really brutal games that they probably should have won - that’s disappointing for sure, and you are right to question strategic decisions or fundamental player execution issues like with the turnovers.

But LSU in both of those games was the better team on a majority of the gameplay . This is not a bad team with systemic issues that can’t be corrected. In fact they’re still in the top of the league in most of the key statistical categories.

So if you say you’re process oriented, you won’t so easily write off the season because of 2 negative outcomes.

This is truth
The Kentucky game has a different outcome with your 2 best players. This team should play loose and be bolstered by the return of both of your leaders.

Why would anyone not still have hope for this season or the future. It takes a couple of years to build depth when starting over. We are dealing with injuries to 5 starters including 2 of your best defensive players/leaders and one of your all american tight ends. We have 2 losses by a combined 9 points on the road to 2 good teams. And the difference is about 5 plays. You also have a QB that didn't play for 9 months coming off of surgery and missed spring. Not worried about the long run in the least. Gotta hope they take care of MIss St and Auburn and get that off week to rest up and get some players back and take care of the rest of the schedule with your 2 toughest games at home. Lots to look forward to.

Beats me but I just read another thread where posters who suggested LSU could possibly win out were downvoted to oblivion while the posters who proclaimed LSU had no shot were applauded.

The only worry I have is this fanbase and upward to the financial supporters (which are a reflection of the fanbase) giving up easily when met with a little adversity.

I think the word used to be catastrophe syndrome.
No one has destroyed this team and they are statistically in the top portion of the league. I think this team has a great chance to be 9-3 and with some breaks can win out.
