I love 2 hours away and have always been home before 2am. Even though I don't have season tickets we make at least one a year and always the biggest onemail.

Your avatar says you live in Red Stick, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say anybody living within 50 miles of TS will get home way before 2 AM, even after a late game.

Every game wasn't on tv when TS was great. If you wanted to watch the tigers you usually had to be in the stadium. Now you can go out at half and start drinking g and eating again while watching g it on tv.

Few were when I was a kid, and if I wasn't brought to the game by dad, it was usually caught laying on the floor next to that huge console stereo listening to the play by play. That being said, when I did make the game there was no leaving early to get home. What was there too do at home? The game was where it's at. Still is. Maybe it's generational. I dunno.

I was speaking for other people. I have season tickets but sell them. I won't lie I used to go to every game and got spoiled watching game on tv with ac. The games are almost 4 hours long now. But when I did go all the time we almost never left early unless game was out of hand. Usually got home anywhere between midnight and 1 am. I know people form opelouses that get home between 1-2am routinely.

Mike I sold peanuts in the early 80s just so I could get in to see the games. I just really believe the games being on tv is the biggest reason fans leave.

I think you are right. I just wish people would be honest and say they'd rather be at home and stop claiming to be great fans, instead of complaining about things that wouldn't make a difference in their attendance pattern anyway. Fix the traffic, have pristine restrooms, great concessions, and free wifi. People would still leave early. I truly believe that.

I suppose that probably has something to do with it, but why would they even go at all? Just stay home. I get that. It's not for everyone, especially if you have health issues or whatever. I just think to myself... The you pay the money to go to the games, have a very limited number you can go see, and then leave at half or at the end of the 3rd quarter. Seems like a real waste of time and money to me.

I honestly think it has more to do with losing their buzz and wanting to kick back at the tailgate to watch ESPN, and for others, they really are going to turn into a literal pumpkin if they get home too late.

I believe they would also. Its still crazy for the big time games. Maybe success has spoiled us also.

Don't quote me on this but I believe I heard Autzen didn't sell out for the first 2 games this year...it holds what 50-60k?

I wonder what percentage of fans leaving were there most of the day tailgating? I know that takes a toll the older I get. Drinking and eating all day is tough

It's funny, people dread the time without football, but they always in a hurry to leave the game.

Only time I left early was 2 years ago against Kentucky. Left in the early 4th. Only reason was I had my 6 year old daughter with me and it was pretty late. I hated doing it but the game was a blowout and it was a great experience for her. She still talks about it 2 years later.

Favorite full game experience was Ole Miss when Beckham returned the punt for a TD. I stayed through the home loss to Mississippi 2 years ago, it was even a decent experience with the comeback attempt.

No doubt about it. I can eat all day, but the all day drinking superman stuff left me a long time ago, especially with that sun beating down on you. I have to pace myself, and mix some water in there as well if I'm going to go all day and into the night.

I'm old. I have a nice air conditioned house. In that house I have comfortable chairs. I have big screen HD television. I have a fridge loaded with good beer. I have a bar stocked with various distilled spirits. I have snacks. I have a bathroom nearby (which is important for old men).

In spite of all of the above there is no place I'd rather be on a Saturday night in the fall than in Tiger Stadium rooting for the Tigers. As long as health allows I'll be there and stay to the end. I can't for the life of me understand why others don't feel the same way.

Only time I left early other than I guess maybe when I was a student I was pregnant and had to be taken to the ER. The nurse was like "we put the tv on for your husband" and I was like "you're blocking my view".
