So which of our backs would you like to take carries from to give to Shepard?

Blue
Ford
Ware
Hilliard

When you have 4 running backs like that you don't consider the wild cat!!!

for the same reason Trindon Holiday never played defensive end (Miles just can't see the wisdom of the rant)

i loved that shep/trindon package in early 09 then it disappeared back into the vaunted secret playbook.

Didn't work so great

I think averaged 7+ yards per carry every time he did it.. Looks pretty good to me

We also didn't have 4 stud backs that play we had 2 so there was room for a shepard to carry ball. Now there is just no point!!!

Again which back would u take carries from?

Or some Percy Harvin type plays? Seems like it would be a nice addition to our offense.

The funny thing about the ones who are saying its because Miles is plain or not inventive are the same ones that would wine and complain it we took carries away from one of our 4 backs. LOL

He's asking why haven't we. As in in the past. I don't need to look up shite to know Les Miles sucks at offense.

LSU had a high scoring offense last year. They did in '06 and '07 too!
Shep does not pass well enough to be a passing threat and is not very elusive or strong.
Miles' play calling did not cost LSU the BCSCG,it was Bama's defense dominating Tigers' offensive line.Go watch the game again. Bama was not loading the box either.

In all honesty,Shep has yet to show that he can catch a football or do much with it after he catches it.Beckam is a much better football player.
I hope Mett can hit Shep in stride a few times this year to allow him to take advantage of his speed.
Joe Adams is a better player than Shep, but Arkansas did not use him in the Wildcat.
I believe Les knows more about football than the OP and his critics who have thousands of posts.

Would of been nice to have the last 2 years. But, now with Mett probably better off with straight formation stuff except in red zone--Maybe.

You put one of those backs in with Shep and run several read plays off of it. Nevermind......

Jesus Christ Bernie. So much incorrect with one sentence it's funny. And this was just one sentence in your entire failure of a post.

It's fact Bob. I've seen every game but a couple.Mack Brown told Shep he would not be a QB at Texas.Shep has small hands too.I've never seen Shep break a tackle. He is no Beckam or Landry.

Remember when our punter took a running play away from them and scored that touchdown? I thought that was awesome. Now that I think about it, we shoulda never took a carry away from those 4. Thanks for opening my eyes.

I understand the point of a wild cat but be real shep isn't good enough running the ball in traffic to run the wildcat.... A wildcat guy need to break tackles b/c u can't just run sweeps.... Our running backs can break tackles so again the question was which back would u take carries from for a guy that might get 8 yard on one play and negitive on the next? You would rathe shep carring the ball than ford.... Ford is 10 times the runner shep could dream about and has same big play ability... Shep need to work on catching the ball... He isn't even a top 5 player on our offense.... Most wildcat guys are also the top 2 players on offense.... He doesn't fit the bill bro...

LOL faking a punt is not the same as taking away from your offense... So of you guys are funny.... The point was why would you take carries away from our stable of back to give them to shep who isn't half as good as any of them running in traffic... The point was for instance give the ball to ford who has proven to have more big play ability than shep....

But.......you're taking a carry away from one of the 4. Maybe we shouldn't punt?

And you're taking away carries from them when you pass. Maybe LSU shouldn't pass the ball.

Have you ever played the Game because you really are stuggling with understanding aren't you.....
We are not taking about Faking a punt..... Like i stated earlier, and since i am in a certain occupation close to the conversation.... Why take carries away from player who HAVE proven to be BETTER runners and give them to a guy that makes very few plays and can't master his own position.... Ford is a more proven play maker, Hilliard a more proven playmaker, Blue a more proven playmaker....... How bout let shep work on catching the ball and let the runners run... If shep was a top 2 playmaker on offense yes you could consider this to get him the ball but he is NOT.....

I agree that Shep just needs to work on becoming a solid reciever. He has made big strides their and I hope his improvement continues into this season.
