Why haven't we installed some sort of Wildcat package for Shep?

Or some Percy Harvin type plays? Seems like it would be a nice addition to our offense.

Didn't work so great, plus he wants a shot at WR in NFL, so he's good where he's at right now.

Why do we need it? We dominate the line of scrimmage. No need for trick plays.

Decent passing game + LSU's running game = No need for wildcat.

I remember 2009 he scored on end-arounds in like the first 3 games or something. Then it just completely left the playbook after the 1st time it didn't work...haven't seen it since.

We have a decent passing game? When did that happen?

Why hasn't Shep been running the wildcat?
Why hasn't Shep thrown the ball?
Why didn't Mett start last year?
Why didn't Lee come into the MNC?

Am I missing anything?

You sure about that? I seem to recall many a long run and a very strong average yards per carry for Shep out of direct snaps, end arounds, and being handed the ball out of the backfield from the single back shotgun set.

LSU determines their offense based on getting Shep into the league at WR? I thought they would do what's best for helping LSU win. And I reject the premise that it would hinder his chances. Percy Harvin got lots of carries from the backfield.

You mean like how he was in for 3 plays in the championship game? And can he not "be where he's at right now" and also be given some plays out of the backfield?

I mean, come the frick on...

Remains to be seen. It's still a Les Miles-Studthorpe offensive scheme and philosophy. Will Les et al panic if Mett throws an INT?
