He is in a horrible slump and hasnt been good in almost two months? Why wont CJJ put Gio or Stevenson or someone else who can actually play defense? Its not like you are sacrificing at the plate at that point.

I know it was not an SEC opponent but he had 2 homers on Tuesday night.

It seems like Jay is on the extreme end of “play the hot hand” vs. “evaluate in practice and ignore in-game performance”, and I say that as someone who thinks he’ll be great. He seems to evaluate and assume that slumps and bad performances are just deviations from the average and just go with it. I’m not saying it’s good or bad but I’m pretty sure that’s how he thinks based on his handling of Thompson and Jobert

Don’t think it’s a bad thing to keep a streaky player who had an insane hot streak earlier this season in the lineup after he hit 2 homers last game regardless of the opponent

Is that the bat boy in the on deck circle?

Really wish some of you having to eat crow like this every single week has a 7-day ban. Sincerely…

I guess you think every LSU hitter should hit over .400? This looked good when you typed it 2 hours ago, but as you think about it, it was really dumb for this game.

The real question is: Who are you playing over a guy hitting .258 with 15 HRs?

Perfectly said. I agree. Both players showed their potential tonight.

He has great power but in critical situations he has not handled the pressure consistently. Watching his homers fly out is impressive but I wish he could just get hits with runners in scoring position in a tight game.

He wasn't wrong. Jobert has been awful at the plate for 6 weeks.

He had been in a slump for a while. Yes.
But he's had three homers in two games in a 2 day span.
Fingers crossed it continues. Just don't overthink it. Go out there and do what you know you can do. Not what you want to do.

He also has a higher OPS than Doughty and only 4 less RBIs for the year with 40 less at bats.He bats 40 more times and he prolly has 20 homers
