Brody is injured. He would surely be getting an opportunity if not the case.

It is what it is. He was 2 for 26 in spring scrimmages. He struck out 16 times in those 26 at bats. He may have already been hurting but that's the start of the story. And, you can look back at the fall scrimmages and back to last year - it's alot of the same, even when he was healthy.
I'm not saying he couldn't be a contributor here, he's obviously a highly touted kid from a great in state program, he has the size, he has power, he's serviceable on defense. He just wasn't close this year, and would have had to pop early to keep getting chances. Now you have other guys stepping on his toes (Stevie, Pearson, and even Leto) and other guys coming in behind them.

Anyone know specifics on the injury? Was this something that happened before the season started?
