CBK and Denbrock have made it clear they want to utilize TE’s as much as possible in this offense and it’s apparent that Mason and Kole Taylor aren’t getting it done. Bech looked great last year and I don’t understand why the move back hasn’t been made

Don’t ask questions, Kelly makes 10 mil a year so he can never be wrong.

It makes too much sense to put Bech there. Thats why Denbrock won't do it.

Same reason BK/Denbrock don't alter the scheme to strengths. Like run RPOs or stops being stubborn with Daniels or decides to keep your best young defensive playmaker off the field in Perkins.

Because BK is square peg meet round hole type of coach. He places it in front of the players and they live with it. No creativity, no adjustments, just deal with it. Les Miles reincarnation. But he talks smarter than Les yet he looked like a bumbling dumbass against Tenn.

Because it would be too obvious to the defense of what we are doing

Taylor on field- most likely run as he's our best Run blocking TE

Bech on field- obvious pass bcuz the guy can't run block like a TE.

While I get some satisfaction from saying “I told you so” I’m more disappointed that LSU’s decision makers didn’t see this coming.

Because “we have to do a better job coaching” and that falls under coaching.

Is this like the 500th time this has been asked? Why does the Rant want this guy on the field so badly? Rant wanted him returning kicks, and that cost us the Tenn game. Do you morons ever just get bored of this BS, or do you want the great white hope out there so badly?

Yea most successful coach in college football and he’s just an idiot too dumb to make adjustments based on talent. BK’s excrement has more football knowledge than all the critics on the Rant combined. Do you ever just sit back and say “damn I’m an idiot”? Probably not but you should

Because our OL is the weakest unit on the team and you need a bigger body in there to protect the QB.

Because Bech isnt even close to being an in-line TE size. He very rarely played in-line TE last year, he's way too small.

Last year he was split out way more than hand in dirt TE.

Kelly wants to utilize TEs on the line, and Bech cant help out there consistently with hand in ground. There's a reason you dont see 6'1 215 pound TEs with hand on the ground almost ever.

Agree, he is in my view a tweener, not big enough to be a true TE and not fast enough to be a #1 or #2 WR. Last year when O went to Da spread, LSU was in 4-5 WR probably 60% of the time and he was effective as a slot guy matched up against LB and Safeties.

In a standard 1 RB / 1 TE (11 personnel offense), ne is not the best option. Now in 3rd down > 5, I think he could and should be used more as a flex TE in the slot as he runs good routes and catches the ball in traffic over the middle. A move the chains kind of guy.
