While you can leave whenever you want, you and others of the same mindset, are ruining what makes Tiger Stadium a feared venue. Not anymore. Very sad. We are just any ole university now. Thanks.

SEC network was as bad as CBS Saturday night with the length of the TV timeouts.

Cool. Doesn't negate the fact that you're part of the problem.

I would love it if LSU would start cutting back on the number of student tickets sold next year. Just to send a message. It was even like this in the student section back during the greatest regular season in history in 2011.

t has a lot to do with the TV timeouts. That's the one thing the NFL does right, is try to complete a game in 3 hours

What? NFL no longer gets games done in three hours. Saints game yesterday was 3:37 minutes. Commercials and passing game has slowed them down, too. It's also one of the reasons TV ratings for NFL are down 10% in the first five weeks of the year.

And stop with all the excuses that other teams fans do it because anyone who watches football games on TV know that's a complete lie.

I've yet to see any stadium empty out on a regular basis during the 3rd qtr/start 4th. Especially not SEC.

For me it's the length of the game and the numerous interruptions of play throughout the game. The fourth quarter started three hours after kickoff.

Worst fan base in the country? No. Are some of our fans just there for the party and not the game? Absolutely! But our diehard fans can go up against anybody and come out on top! They aren't spoiled or lazy!

Let's ask ourselves how we baseball fans can stay the whole game, when the games are longer, slower paced and even worse weather conditions. You still have traffic, though not as bad.

The difference is, there are less corporate seats in baseball. It's filled with mostly diehard fans, instead of show fans. The biggest issue in Tiger Stadium is the gold seats. These are either corporate or tickets that have been in the same family for generations and the young pups using them don't care as much, or the old people need to get home early.

The only solution to that is to sell seat filler tickets, or not let these people renew tickets if this is a trend. I wish Alleva would tell them that if they keep leaving early, those seats will now be up for grabs when renewals come up. I don't see him ever doing that, but he should.

I left at halftime because my kids aren't making it through a whole game and I wanted to be home in time to watch the second half. But that first half took forever. The seats have no leg room, the food is still garbage, there is a time out every 5 minutes it feels like, and with all the music it feels like a concert and not a football game. I told my wife when I got home that it just isn't the same anymore.

I used to be one of those who had to stay till the end. I got pissed when people around me left. But now I'm not an a-hole and understand it's just a football game and it's turned into a social event that last much longer than it needs to. So leave when you want. Show up when you want. Football is now a tailgating event that rolls into the stadium at kickoff and heads back out to drink at halftime. Maybe alcohol sales would fix part of that problem but at $8-10 a beer I doubt it.

verything you said is true but it's killing the lore of Tiger Stadium

The one thing you do know about tiger stadium is that when its a big game the fans will show up. I expect this weekend will be packed even with a late kick off.

"Killing the lore of T.S."? It's dead now. T.S. is nothing but a shell of what it used to be. And even though LSU has been winning in CLM form, i.e. boring, imagine what it would be like if the team was losing, like in the days of Hallman, Stovall, and Archer. Having said that, even with poor teams T.S. still had good crowds, for the most part staying till late in the 4th quarter. When you read, over & over again, "it's more fun to go back to the tail gate & drink, that says it all bout LSU fans. They are the ones who have turned T.S. in a joke of itself. Forget all the excuses & reasons, that is a fact, it is the fans who have ruined the best atmosphere in college football for many decades.

The piped in third and fourth down music is the most terrible thing I have seen in the SEC outside of the stupid Auburn male cheerleader with a microphone.

Me too, want to stay loyal to the end but the amount of traffic leaving still sucks and has for the last 5/6 years. This weekends 8:00 start for ole piss, I might as well sleep in the stadium when the game ends at midnight.

They need to get rid of the Greek Section and blocked seating for those kids....those sections are the first of the students to empty. Need to lump them in with the regular students and give those spots to kids who will stay longer.

The greek section is terrible. Was the same way when I was in school and I sat there...felt like you would see ten people in a spot that would fit 150.

The games are borderline ridiculous long for those fans who are just semi interested in the game. women, some men, and children just don't care enough to sit their for four hours watching a game. Hell, only the very devout fan can sit through that.

You can't really blame them for it either. 4-4.5 hours is nonsense. They reviewed three plays on Saturday for 3-4 minutes. Advertisements were crazy and have been for the last 5 years.

They really need to take a look at that or they will lose viewership like the NFL has. If the game lasts long enough to sober up by the third quarter, it's too long.

From a student's perspective, I don't want to stay in the game past halftime when my buzz is wearing off and LSU is tied with USM. Unless we sneak in booze, there is no motivation to stay unless it's a big SEC game. When LSU plays Ole Miss, Bama and Florida this year, the students will stay.

You do realize that LSU is literally the worst home fanbase in the country among major teams now, don't you? You don't see fans of other teams leaving like this.

Did you happen to see Florida's stadium to start the 4th quarter? If it was 70% full I'd be surprised.
