I’ll put it this way... in regulation the D played good enough for us to win.... But if you have your an carry the ball 20 out of a pro style offense you are not gonna win many games.... I will say that Burrow played lights out though.

Held a&m to its 2nd lowest yards total of the season.
Held them to the lowest 1st downs total.
Had to score just to give the offense a chance to score.
Last 4 possession were....
-6 yards punt
Lsu defensive td
-1 yard punt
Defensive stop on 4th down
Held them to fgs 2 of the 1st 4 ots
AND YOUR PROBLEM IS WITH THE DEFENSE?

Do you really think LSU couldn't have made it to 103rd ranked offense with practically any ol' OC? Maybe LSU overspent on OC?
In contrast, do you think a budget DC could've managed Top 10 rank with that offense?

Because it doesnt take into account that giles and your deities' decision gift wrapped 7 points for them, or the fact that your deity put the defense back onto the field after they gift wrapped win and set it in your deity's lap only to have him hand right back to

We had a 7 point lead and allowed what a 89 yard drive to allow a tie. 4th and 19 and allowed a TD and you think the D doesn't deserve any blame bc the offense should've put the game out of reach?
I am not defending the offense...it sucks! I am calling out the defense that did not meet expectations this year. If our defense was as good as we all expected we would have been 11-1
