Jobert isn’t anything more than a situational player at this point

Probably because he hasn’t hit as good as Jobert this year.

I think if Pearson was able to get steady reps he’d be an asset. Worst case scenario is he’s as bad as Jobert. Can’t get any worse.

Because Person hits like he is using a wet noodle

Because he hasn’t been very good when given the opportunity.

Jobert’s power is a plus if Pearson can’t consistently get on base.

Pearson hasn’t had as many opportunities. Jobert can hit the long ball but is a liability in the OF and Pearson isn’t. It’s not like Jobert is hitting the cover off the baseball either.

Pearson’s .06 extra on base percentage doesn’t really make up for the 6 home runs, and 6 doubles, that Jobert has.

So, like I said, if Pearson can’t get on base there’s no reason for him to play over Jobert.

Pearson has 69 ABs. Jobert has 100.

Pearson is hitting .217. Jobert is hitting .290.

Pearson has 3 extra base hits. Jobert has 12.

Pearson has 0 home runs. Jobert has 6.

Pearson’s OB% is .396. Jobert’s is .390.

What are we arguing again?

At this point put Stevenson in left. Morgan at 1st. At least your defense will be solid

Hitting. No mystery. Jobert is back on the bench. Frey is probably not ready so you may see him tonight
