Because he wants to win with his pitching in close low scoring games.

I guess

Problem is, they don’t win.

Some of y’all are watching SEC baseball for the first time in your lives. It’s exciting to see new fans.

We still do win. What do you mean used to? So LSU should be putting up huge run totals on pitchers that nobody else is putting up big numbers on either?

Huh? Arkansas just put up 4 hrs and 5 runs in 3.2 innings against Macleod who literally dominated us for 6 innings 1 run 9 Ks.

He went all in on small ball will win ships. Mean while in reality big boy baseball and pitching still wins. He’s an epic failure by any means that could ever be brought up. But the baseball mafia love him so he stays

Down vote me all you want. But bring up facts why you love pawl so much. One ship in 12 years. One other trip to the ship. Keep down voting like liberals with zero context.

You’re right. That dubious SOB is intentionally recruiting players who aren’t hitting well to feed on the tears of the rant.

The dead bat era was his meal ticket. He was allowed to mask his terrible offensive acumen for years and by the time it was over fans had been duped into thinking he had a clue.

Do you really want to bring up accomplishments in this? Paul may need to go but the guy has had some really good teams here.

Just as a comparison here are the accomplishments for Mainieri, Corbin, O'Sullivan since 2007 (when Paul was hired)

Paul Mainieri: 4 conference championships, 6 SEC tournament championships, 8 super regional appearances, 5 CWS appearances, 2 championship series appearances, 1 NC.

Tim Corban: 4 conference championships, 2 sec tournament championships, 8 super regional appearances, 4 CWS appearances, 3 championship series appearances, 2 NCs.

Kevin O'Sullivan: 5 conference championships, 2 SEC tournament championships, 8 super regional appearances, 7 CWS appearances, 2 championship series appearances,1 NC.

I understand the frustration with how the program has looked the past few seasons and Paul seems to be on a downward trajectory in his career. it may be time to move on at the end of the season but let's stop with the BS that the guy hasn't done anything or that he has always been a garbage coach ect...

Huh, the team that’s been ranked number 1 for part of the season did better than us? Go figure. Different matchups favor different teams. By the way, it does not matter what Arkansas did. He could throw a no hitter the next time he faced Arkansas or He could give up even more runs to LSU in a second matchup. That’s why you play the game. Anyone can give examples of individual games as even a team’s ace will have off games from time to time.

Yeah, and Oral Roberts put up big numbers on Hill. Also, LSU chased State’s game three starter, in the second inning, who is normally very good.

He did. And then the rules changed, and so did Paul. We are a power hitting team that was leading the nation in HR’s going into this weekend.
