Deichmann, Byrd, Bryce, Pap... all lower BA's. And you can say "well, they rarely play"... well, KRob doesn't either.

The combined stupid of the Rant and Mainieri is too much for me. I'm gonna go weed my flower beds or something.

Foster would be a starting CF for a lot of Division 1 teams.

The other poster's comment was hyperbole as he isn't the worst in the country, but he is below average. Being an athlete doesn't make him a good outfielder.

Pap hasn't had enough at bats to judge him. Hitting once a week will not get you in a rhythm

KRob only has 18 more... will 18 more mean anything if you don't think 25 does?

I disagree that he's a below average OF. He made a bad mistake today but he isn't a liability out there.

Have you ever played baseball? 18 at bats can make a big difference in a BA whether it's good or bad

Yes.

Then why are you brushing off Pap's 25?

Kramer has had more at bats than any of those true freshman. He had a whole year to prove himself. He's had many opportunities this year as well. One hit doesn't change my mind. Especially when Foster is cranking bombs left and right.

Foster at 2nd. Fraley in LF. Kramer on the pine. NO BRAINER

ETA: not to mention Kramer doesn't have a whole lot of potential. Pap is a stud freshman and will be slugging before long. He just needs to get going.

Who here is arguing Kramer should start?

Don't get me wrong. I'm totally fine with that. Foster, Fraley, and Sciambra hitting well means that one of them has to DH and two of them have to play.

I'm not advocating starting KRob. I'm laughing at people think he's the worst hitter on the team or that he's not much better than last year. He's a .250 hitter. And many thought that would be a good enough jump for him to start every day. No one was expecting 5 out ofl 6 of our outfielders at .350 plus.

How can you judge a hitter in 25 AB? What is the reason Krob is a better hitter? If you can't answer that then your argument is irrelevant
