IMO there's a large gap between decent and elite

Right. The only players I would label as elite, when they have everything working for them is Hill, Marceaux and Fontenot.

Didnt realize we were talking about a starter. No one in their right mind thinks he could take that spot

No disagreement there. He said "decent" was unfair, then you jumped to saying he's not "elite".

The way I think of "decent" is to say below average or, at best, average. I'd say Hilliard is above average to good when he has his curve going

Again, semantics

That's generally what being "in the rotation" means

Well when you say, "in the rotation," I take that to mean the starting rotation.

This is the best he's pitched in a while.

That’s the best he’s looked in a while IMO. If he can keep that up, he’ll be a weapon come SEC play. I think he even hit 91 which I don’t think he’s ever done either.

Glad to see that young man pitch well. He’s definitely has had to face some adversity during his time here at LSU.

Your opinion is wrong. His freshman year he went 6 or 7 innings quite a few times.

I know he doesn’t have the stuff of the rest but I would put Labas in this group or a very slight notch below them.

I'd throw Labas and Beck in that category right below the elite guys, and right above the "decent" guys.

I'm not throwing labels on the freshman yet, because we haven't seen enough of them.
