Yeah if my dad just died I doubt I'd fare well well in a competition -- yet he still finished Most Improved and barely missed the cut

It's takes more than atheltic ability at that position..... Look no further than the guy taking the snaps now.
Buddy, the guy taking snaps right now is a great athlete! He runs very well and seems to have good size.

I think that Narcisse is the better prospect. He's bigger, stronger, and more mobile. Is it just due to his injuries, and the poor history with dual-threat QBs at LSU?
Testing Results on ESPN Recruit Profile:
Narcisse
40 yd dash: 4.72
20 yd shuttle: 4.47
Power Throw: 36.0
Brennan
40 yd dash: 4.99
20 yd shuttle: 4.21
Power Throw: 35.0
Not real clear who will be the better athlete, especially regards to QB.
Now on his recruiting videos, I don't see a lot of passes, but he does appear to have good footwork and his release looks fairly concise. He's not a speed demon, but has good instincts for avoiding a tackle, which might make him a better pocket passer. I don't think he would be a great running QB in college.
Brennan looks more and more like a solid pocket passer and the better QB at this time.

True. That 2009 season is severely underrated by most fans though. It was the best full length season an LSU QB has had since 2006 other than Mett in 2013.

All of the stereotypes about white football players are considered enviable traits for a QB
Well, this is false. How about being unathletic? That's a stereotype for white QBs, but it is not enviable.
I'd love to have a QB that has great decision making and leadership, a great arm, AND is athletic with escapability. Right now we seem to have a guy with all of those except only an average arm.

Miles has had overwhelmingly more success with a pocket-passer esque QB.
The problem has nothing to do with Dual threat or pocket passer. It is just a weird coincidence that we've had three black (not dual threat) QBs in a row that can't hit a bullet with a barn door.
JJ, Jennings and Harris could not hit wide open receivers 20 yards away from them. But that is not the football universe. Cam Newton can complete easy throws; Herb Tyler used to do so for LSU.
But because the last three black guys sucked many YO-YOs on here stereotype that "Dual Threats" aren't a fit for LSU. Shoot if Harris could complete a pass he'd have been an excellent fit.

I think he can with the time on the sideline learn from Etling how to be a confident QB and with this time learns what our offense is about and can more easily go threw his progressions set up a defense with his eyes of course he can learn this. He would be a badass qb with these traits also. I don't give up on anyone especially kids.

He needs to check his white privelege :/

I look forward to a comment from you with actual substance
There's substance and there's bullshite. You were all in for Harris and totally against Etling. You know good and well that Harris has more than accuracy issues.

Not reading through 8 pages but I was under the impression he will be red shirted his freshman year.
Well that SHOULD be pretty obvious that he should redshirt his first year. But at this point we don't even know for sure who his Head Coach or Off Coord will be with any degree of confidence.

In today's day and age, ACL injuries don't mean much. He tore one last year, and came back better than ever.
Did he come back better than ever because he's not doing too much for his team atm.

Yeah and if I could swim faster than Michael Phelps I would have won something like 19 Olympic gold medals..

One of these is not like the other. Jefferson put up better numbers as a sophomore than Flynn did in 2007.
You are absolutely wrong! You are trying to take a snippet of one year? Last time i checked, and you can correct me if I am wrong - which I am not" Flynn was 1-1 in national championship games and Jefferson is 0-1. That is a very simplistic view of things but you are making an asinine statement so I am trying to keep it simple for you because you seem kind of simple.

You do know physical skills and brains are not mutually exclusive, right? Some on here seem to have fallen for the myth that superior athleticism means less intelligence. And some on here seem to try to perpetuate that myth. And we know where that thinking originated.

Then compare their career numbers if that doesn't float your boat. There is biased perception and there is reality. Most biased people see what they want to see, despite reality being something different. They must justify their biases and dismiss any evidence that challenges their biases. That explains how some claim Flynn was a better QB at LSU than Russell.

For some reason you seem to forget that Scott has all these tools while he was in high school taught by NFL quarterbacks, and not to mention 3000 yds. his senior season and a class 5A championship MVP 2 years in a row La. MR.Footbal, Max prep all American oh and did I mention gym, film study, and raised to be a qb. Follow the link. MS. Kid plays against what would be considered 2A-3A talent in Louisisna. Give me a break just say something else other than the kid is an athlete. Google Lindsey Scott Jr. Before you put your foot in your mouth again. LINK
