LSU fans think they're going to get another Saban. It isn't going to happen, and just because you land a Jimbo or Herman, there is absolutely no guarantee you're going to knock it out the park with them either, or they'll be a good fit here as a HC. Coach Orgeron has a passion for this team and LSU. He can recruit his arse off like few others can, and makes adjustments to put LSU in a position to win games. Im telling you, we can do a lot worse, and other teams will come looking for him, especially for his recruiting abilities, passion and inspiration he brings, and that's what you really need in a head coach, one who is able to keep the talent coming in, not be hard headed, and let the coaches under him do their job. Hire well, and let them loose. Inspire the hell out of people, and run a clean program. People gravitate to him, and he wants it badly. That's what we need.

Hiring o would be equivalent to the Johnny Jones hire
I can see the parallel from the recruiting side, but football and basketball coaching are inherently different.

How do you know this?
Just look at the results since Miles was rightfully fired and Since Coach O has taken over... Its night and day how much better this team is prepared and executes.......

The lost on Defense will be huge. Bright spot key will be back. Divinity and White at LB and dbu will be fine. Adams loss is huge though. Oline will be stronger and Etling and guice we will be ok.

With Miles players and how prepared and different did we look against bama?
Also if you knew football youd know the reason we beat ole miss and arky is because both are ranked 100th or worse in opponents rushing yards per game.
Teams that stopped the run beat miles. Neither of those teams beat lsu with miles.
Im still waithing on you to post Ed orgeron's resume as coordinator.

Again, STARTED. WAS saban a career position coach? Was saban a position coach at 50 years old? Your lack of sports knowledge is epic.

That he has successfully ran a side of the ball for 2 top programs . something ed orgeron has never done with far more years of coaching.
Please point to all the position coaches being hired as head coaches at major programs. It literary never happens.im sorry you dont know common knowledge things.

Last years LSU team had more talent than BOTH Ole Mis AND Arkie and got destroyed by both...WHY???? Miles is not a moivator and his team showed it.... YOU just can't MAN UP and Admit that THIS LSU team is WAY better with O as the coach comared to MIles..... FACT........

Was Nick saban a position coach at 55 years old?
Was miles a position coach at 55 years old?
Was Aranda a position coach at 55 years old?

What if Lsu wins its next 3 games as convincingly as yesterday? Would you still feel the same about O?

Last year arky was 11th in the country in opponents rushing yards per game.
Last year ole miss was 20th in opponents rushing yards per game.
Last year they both were great at stopping the run.
THIS YEAR ARKY IS 100TH IN OPPONENTS RUSHING YARDS PER GAME AND OLE MISS IS 105TH IN OPPONENTS RUSHING YARDS PER GAME.
Educate yourself.

Hell Kiffen has been a top notch OC for years, But he sucks as A HC... Its no sure thing for any coordinator hire.... I agree O may not be the answer but he has THIS LSU team looking way better than Miles did and the results speak r themselves... The offense runs way smoother, NO Clock management problems.... The offense doesn't look at the sideline for 20 seconds waiting to see what play to run. FACE IT he has done A WAY better job than Miles had this year..... LSU does NOT beat Arkie last night if Miles is the coach... You can tell that by the last two years.. After the Bama game, the team was wore out because f the 6 hours of practice Miles made them g through... The team was way fresher against Bama and were NOT as wore out as the previuos couple years going into the Arkie game....

Yes. The next 2 sec teams arent good.
Ed oregeron has never successfully been a coordinator let alone HC. In his entire coacbing career he has done nothing to warrant getting the lsu HC job. My god bruh. You want promote a 55 year old DLINE COACH to run your program? Its like im in twilight zone.
Posted on 11/13/16 at 12:24 pm to FLBooGoTigs1
Nobody was gonna win at ole miss. He took over after cutcliff of had no plan after Eli graduated.
Posted on 11/13/16 at 12:25 pm to Rickdaddy4188
If Coach O is so unqualified, why has he been picked as an interim head coach for two power programs? And I don't understand why you are so quick to discount his head coaching experience.
I don't know if he would be my first choice but I don't see how you can be so sure that he would be a bad hire.

I agree. I have even said i enjoy watching lsu play now far more than under miles.
I have repeatedly said the way lsu has been playing is a huge indictment of miles rather than a plus for Orgeron.
Orgeron may be successful at lsu but when hiring a coach you want to hire a coach with as few question marks as possible. Ed Orgeron has has many questions as you can think of. His one chance at running the show was a massive failure.
