miss was a bottom feeder at the time. It's like saying now if he was coaching at Vandy Ed O sucked he was vandy's coach
When Les miles took over osu they worse off than when orgeron took over ole miss. Fact.
Oklahoma state 1 season above .500 in about 15 years. Good coaches turn around programs

Sorry, not consistent with the facts. Both O's predecessor (Cutcliffe) and successor (Nutt) at Ole Miss vastly outperformed him. O was the problem.
Nutt was successful with CEO's players. Hugh Freeze said the week of the Ole Miss - LSU game that OM let Coach O go too soon. He was only there three years and Hugh said the program was about to turn around.
Houston Nutt:
2008 Ole Miss 9–4 5–3 2nd (West) W Cotton 15-14
2009 Ole Miss 9–4 4–4 3rd (West) W Cotton 21-20
2010 Ole Miss 4–8 1–7 6th (West)
2011 Ole Miss 2–10 0–8
Looks like when O's players were gone so was Nutt's out-performance of him.

I think he's proving it now

He recruited well but they.were.horrible.

This is patently untrue. Please read the book Meat Market by Bruce Feldman. It follows O on the recruiting trail. He was anything but lazy.

I'm sick of people outside the state saying he has no shot, or they'll be shocked !

Because he damn near lost every SEC game he coached

That's nice and all but he should go to a mid major and prove that he's changed just like every other coach.
Exaclty.

And he's 10-3 taking over 2 trainwrecks and 9-2 in conference.
Train wreck? We are talented as frick and its been proven our 2 losses were to decent teams. It was time to go but even if Miles stayed we would be at the same win loss record. Every team we have beaten can not stop the run.

You why most don't want him to be HC because little Nicky would be the first one to pick him up!!! For two reason one he's a heck of a defense line coach, recruiter and will get 90% of the talent out of Louisiana if he goes!! I hope that we don't fork this up by not giving him the job.

Belichick took the Browns to their last playoff win. Carroll took the Pats to the playoffs twice.
O has the worst win % of any coach in Ole Miss history. Worse than Curley Hallman bad.
Not the same thing.

You my friend need to lay off of the vodka. Do you really think Miles beats Ole Miss and Arkansas?

Im sorry you have hitched your savior to a career dline coach.
My point wasnt about miles. My point was that even Miles Had success at a worse program than the program Ed orgeron took over at ole miss. Im sure your level of reading comprehension wouldn't let you recognize this.
You think Miles wasnt a good coach but his resume before Lsu shits all over Ed Orgeron's resume.

Honestly there was not a whole lot of talent there at that time
And that is on him being the head coach

Arkansas is ranked 100th in opponents rushing yards per game and ole miss is 105th in opponents rushing yards per game
Teams didnt beat Miles unless they could stop the run. Educate yourself.
Last year arky was 11th in the country and ole miss was 20th.

It is absolutely amazing to me that people want to SETTLE for coach that is not being mentioned by ONE major program as a head coaching candidate just being he is a fit here or he is CAJUN. Big deal! This is LSU and LSU should be to hire the absolute BEST available head available. Damn he beat Arkansas who is obviously a bad team just like Old Miss, Missouri, and Southern Miss.
IMO, if LSU SETTLES for Orgeron we will go back to the 1990s and the offense will continue to what it has been since 2008. Look past the accent people.

Because he's never been a Coordinator anywhere or a HC anywhere but there and he failed miserably. So no ones ever offered him anything more than dline coach and the one place that does he's a laughing stock and he's supposed to be handed a top 5 program where he inherited a ton of talent and the best DC in the land ? No I don't think so. Go win at a mid major and then we can talk. Untill then Lsu deserves a top HC that has won as a HC and a coordinator

If O is such a pitiful option I want to hear from you with that opinion who is guaranteed to be a great head coach here. And if this person doesn't exist how can you choose an uncertain coach over O's proven record with the Tigers?(assuming he wins out)
