So a dline coach?

Lets hope and pray that a 55 year old dline coach can be successfull at one the toughest jobs in in cfb.

Well, you are the one who posted:

My god. Dabo sweeney was an assistant head coach AND WR coach.

Like it was some great accomplishment for Daboo to be AHC and WR coach. I just raised your AHC and position coach (2 jobs) for a guy who had 3 jobs and two NC rings to show for it.

Also, miles wouldve beaten Arky and ole miss too.

I disagree... LSU had way more talent than Ole Miss AND Arkie the last two years and got whipped last year by both... I doubt he could have gotten THIS LSU team UP to play Arkie after losing to Bama AGAIN... Just like the last two years.. BAMA didn't just beat LSU , they BEAT THEM UP.. This year was not the case... Miles overpracticed these guys and the players themselves have said it... Coach O has kept them fresh since he took over by having shorter practices AND BLOWING teams out... Something Miles was NOT good at... FACE IT.. Coach O is doing a better job with this years team than Miles did... ITS A FACT.............

It we hire him to be our head coach, we will never win shite again. The rest of the SEC will laugh in our fricking faces.

I can think of four teams who have first hand experience that will not laugh at LSU for hiring coach O. Arkansas wasn't laughing last night.

I'm saying the standard we should have is that we should do better than O and Miles. We have a chance to do that right now, as long as we follow the same general patterns that indicate success that we've followed before. O isn't to that standard, and Miles later in his career isn't to that standard.

Now we are on the same page.... I want the BEST for the future of LSU football... If Coach O isn't it, I am fine with that... But someone on here said there are 40 coordinators with A better shot at the LSU job.. That's just stupid...........

So do I. If I don't want the worst head coach our rivals have had in the last 20 seasons, then sue me. I think there are lots of great coaches who would do well here if given the chance. I want O to be a contingency if all other options fail.

I really think Willie Taggart would be a great hire, as he's rebuilt two programs. Fleck would be a good choice. I'm interested to see what Matt Clarke does at ISU.

This is ridiculous. They would all be laughing because they know hes not the key to long-term success. Why do you think USC didnt hire the guy after he was 6-2 with them?

Its telling that pj is your boy. I love you football ignorant posters sticking together.
It telling that you think stating facts is DEFENDING.
If i say the earth revolves around the sun am i defending the sun?

Its not my fault that the facts of miles tenure proves your OPINION to be ignorant. Thats something you need to deal with.

Holy shite you really have no idea what is going on in cfb.
Pick any successful coordinator AND HIS RESUME SHITS ON ED ORGERON'S RESUME. ed orgeron isnt a good enough coach to warrant getting a coordinator job offer. Thats something football ignorant people like you cant understand. No big program is even offering ed orgeron a job at dc.
Please lost ed Orgeron's resume as a coordinator.

Let me go ahead and do it for you.

His resume as a coordinator is this...

Zero years as defensive coordinator
Zero years as offensive coordinator

So yeah. Ill wait for you to realize that Ed orgeron doesnt have a coordinator resume dumbass.

Always with the nails.... You have no clue how college football works...... I have been waiting for your list of the 40 how are a better choice... You can't that's why..... You run your big mouth behind a keyboard and then can't back it up... Sad indeed. Again... I have ended your arse in here.......

Put it this way. If LSU does not offer him the job, do you see top schools trying to get him?

So we beat Bama because of some missed holding calls? Did I miss where we scored a point?

Ole miss was a bottom feeder at the time. It's like saying now if he was coaching at Vandy Ed O sucked he was vandy's coach
Not quite.

Tuberville and Cutcliffe, the 2 coaches before Orgeron, had winning records and went to bowl games.

O came in and stunk the place up.

Then Nutt came in and got them back in bowl games, and Freeze has continued it.

The only time Ole Miss has been a bottom feeder in the last 20 years, were the years Orgeron was there.

Ole Miss went 10-3 and tied for 1rst in the SEC west in 2003. CEO took over in 2005. Hardly a bottom feeder.

Was he ever found guilty of illegal stuff while at ole miss? I mean hell Bill Bellicheck (spelled wrong) failed at his first couple of coaching jobs.

I'm tired of this comparison. Bellicheck actually made the playoffs during his first coaching gig.

CEO was historically bad in his first coaching gig.

3-21 in the SEC. 0-8 In SEC in his 3rd year with the Rebels

Comparing the two is stupid

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe Coach O has never wanted to be a coordinator. Just because he never has been a coordinator does not mean he's not been offered the positions and always turned then down.

Using the Rants logic, Kevin Steele would be a better candidate for a head coaching job just on the premise he has been a DC.
