Our 2020 schedule is weird as frick.

Alabama is in the exact same spot as it always is. But almost everything else is odd.

We play both Ole Miss and Arkansas before Bama and then Auburn after Bama.

I cant think of the last time we played them in that order. its been at least 17 years (thats as far back as i looked)

Is there are reason our schedule is so upside down?

Back-loading the schedule by the SEC in order to make the late in the season games more meaningful and attractive.

The Gumps play UT-Martin after LSU, finish with A&M and Auburn.

Because Auburn complained to the SEC about having to play road games at Georgia & Bama in late November.

It's their "tradition" that they get a November cupcake, and God knows the SEC won't mess with their traditions.

Rice on a neutral field is weird as well. Or is it a home and home?

Doesn’t sound right because I believe UGA plays at Bama second week in 2020

Will actually be nice to play up there at a time of the year where the players (and fans) won't have icicles on their balls.

They usually play State and then a cupcake before Auburn. I guess the SEC is trying to do away with the snooze fest the week before the season finale.

We used to play auburn late in the year. In the Saban years I remember it always being towards the end of the year. If im remembering correctly it was when A&M joined the SEC that the big shift happened.
