Why do LSU pitchers allow an opposing batter comfortability at the plate?

The fella from SC was a perfect example last night. Everyone knows he is having a great tournament yet no one, I mean no one, comes close to making him uneasy while batting.
Pitchers must own the plate. Batters must respect that fact. If not, oh well, expect extremely inside at the chin until they do.

That fella, one of the hottest hitters in the country, did strike out twice to go with his 6 RBI
Before last night we've actually had a hell of a run shutting down the other teams top hitters. See-
Brayden Montgomery, Gage Miller, Charlie Condon, etc
