Because fans are angry, and thus, irrational.

Team played well tonight. I will not be surprised to see both LSU and USC in the playoffs.

If you aren’t thrilled with the defensive performance tonight, you can’t be happy

Did you know Nick Saban coached at Michigan State prior to coming to LSU?

So do we not want accountability now??

It's not real accountability.

Let's see him actually take responsibility for something first, like his shitty running scheme that he keeps trying to force, and why he keeps forcing it

It was just bizarre to me to see so many people bitching about this one certain thing only to find out that the one certain thing was completely inaccurate. It’s like a coping mechanism for a lot of people here.

Notice the things you've highlighted are at the END of the comments. He catches himself, only after berating the players.

Opening drive, we don't take thr fg. Huge mistake, BUT, he gave them a chance to show how they were built....they failed. Window to the season right there.
J E Jr is our best back
DBs still suck
OC is a clown

USC was just an OK team. We made them look like top 5

All 3 opening losses have had a lot of the same issues, overly conservative offense, STs frick ups, and inexcusable mental lapses. Take all the blame you want in front of a mic but you’re clearly not fixing the issue.

The way Kelly "takes responsibility" is to ultimately shite on the players

"We had a good gameplan and it was a good playcall, but the players didn't execute/made mistakes...THAT is on me"

The players deserve a ton of blame, but his acceptance of responsibility extends to basically "I'm doing it right, but they don't hear me so I have to adjust until they get it. They're too dense to understand and heed me." Did he call himself or his coaches out about poor play calling? Poor decision making?

Yeah taking the blame is admitting to a flawed gameplan and sticking to it when it was clear you over estimated your OL’s ability.

Not “well ____ fricked this up but yeah that’s on me to teach them better and stuff”

Agreed. I just don't understand why people feel the need to lie and create this strawman.

because it was his game plan in the second half that cost us the game. The throw heavy gameplan in the first half worked great...and dumbass should have taken 3 points early to get us on the board....Players made mistakes, it was the first game....but if he stays aggressive in the second half we win going away...the opportunity was there when we went up 17-13 and had a couple of stops after that on D....but inexplicably he went completely conservative in play calling bound and determined to run the ball...and he threw everything out of whack....lost momentum and confidence. That is solely on BK. He does not adjust well during games it appears...he has a plan and sticks to it whether working or not....almost like Les Miles 2011 champ game.

You really think that was Sloan in the second half?

He's blaming players while saying it's his fault the guys are sucking. Still saying the guys are sucking.

Our players are making hundreds of thousands — even millions — per year for playing at LSU. They 100% deserve criticism when they play like shite. I think Chicken needs to ease up on some of the rules of this site when it comes to calling out the players in some situations due to this because it’s not college football as the world knew it when this site was created.

It should be ok for us to criticize thr players and call them out for their stupid arse mistakes and as a fan, I damn sure have zero problem with the coach stopping just short of calling them a dumbass in an eloquent way on national tv. No problem with that at all.

I don’t mind going for it on 4th. You can’t criticize for being to conservative but then lament them for not taking 3 points there.

I would have been fine going for it on 4th instead of the FG to tie it at 20

When you elect to receive the ball to open the game, you take the points when you can.

We said “we want the ball because we’re gonna go score some points and show these motherfrickers who we are” then got down there and said “nevermind, we’re gonna gamble, frick it, we got the whole game to score points”.
