I think we should only schedule unknown triple-option teams.

We are about to play a good running QB at Texas so they wanted to play a team where the QB will be running a lot.

This would include a warmup game, placement of difficult games, SOS, athlete mental and physical fatigue, etc.

I'll say it again, and it isn't popular amongst a subset of fans, but scheduling the right opponents goes a long way into developing younger players, allowing injuries to heal, fighting fatigue

You are aware that ever school in the SEC is handed an 8 game schedule from the conference. This schedule includes opponent, date, and location.

The schools then work the remaining 4 games into that.

You realize this is flat wrong, right?

I can’t think of any any P5 school would willingly play a team like this.
Are we only supposed to schedule teams that provide a perfect fit for our defense? Is that the way scheduling works?

So every P5 team that schedules a triple option opponent is scheduling incorrectly and/or non-strategically? Am I accurately describing your position?

My position is pretty clear.

No....it's not. Let's try a YES or NO question:

Are you saying every P5 team that schedules a triple option opponent is scheduling incorrectly and/or non-strategically?

The way I see it is that it can only help LSU prepare for stopping the option with all teams they will face down the road. It will give them extra reinforcement of that knowledge in a live action game setting. I like it. Much like how playing Oregon in 2011 prepared them for the hyper-no huddle that was all the rage at the time.
