Funny thing about Hill...
When he got into that mess back at RHS, hardcore LSU fans were the first to call the boy a thug, or a POS and they didnt want him...
Now hes on the team making plays, the same hardcore LSU fans love the boy.

I used to have the link saved because it came up so much on this board in the early days. The old rules were that you could play in 2 games in an 11 game season or 3 in a 12 game season and still be redshirted. I assume the rules have changed but the only thing I've seen linked is a blog.

14.2.3.1 Minimum Amount of Competition. Any competition, regardless of time, during a season in an
intercollegiate sport shall be counted as a season of competition in that sport, except as provided in Bylaws
14.2.3.1.1, 14.2.3.1.2, 14.2.3.1.3 and 14.2.3.1.4. This provision is applicable to intercollegiate athletics competition
conducted by a two-year or four-year collegiate institution at the varsity or subvarsity level. (Revised:
1/11/94, 4/28/05 effective 8/1/05, 5/9/06, 1/16/10 effective 8/1/10)
14.2.3.1.1-4 pertain to things like alumni games, scrimmages against 2-yr schools, etc.

A student-athlete shall not engage in more than four seasons of intercollegiate competition in any one sport (see
Bylaws 14.02.7 and 14.3.3). An institution shall not permit a student-athlete to represent it in intercollegiate
competition unless the individual completes all of his or her seasons of participation in all sports within the time
periods specified below:

years from the beginning of the semester or quarter in which the student-athlete first registered for a minimum
