Why did the ump give the catcher a new ball after the walk?

Looked like a wild pitch/passed ball on ball 4. Catcher calls time and gets a new ball. Am I drunk and see that wrong?
ETA: ignore this. I think it was a bug that I mistaken thought was the ball going to the backstop. Ball was at the catcher's feet and grabbed it.
