The people who said it wasn't the same player said that it had been a few years since Shane had played. I guess they thought he graduated.

He had a nasty off speed, but nothing special on his fast ball.
Faced him a few times in high school...didn't he throw low 90s on his fastball? I'd say thats fairly decent even though he couldn't spot it all the time

He threw around 85-87 mph consistently. Like I said, his talent was the off-speed.

and to follow up. the day someone refers to low 90's in HS as "decent" is the day I kick that person in the balls

lol, I agree pilot. I'm not trying to knock his fast ball at all, 85-87 is very good, but it's not special for collegiate baseball, especially in the SEC.

Just wonder why PM didn't change his position like ULaMo did. After all, Jones plays outfield and can pitch, so why didn't the pitcher move to the outfield and stay.

well yea I agree, I was talking to the doofus not you

first off, I was the the ULM game on tuesday. He played several innings for them in center field. He walked once and struck out once while I was there. second, saw him play often in high school and he was legit. Good fastball, great off speed. could also hit a ton for his size. when not pitching, he was the CF. He was maybe 140lbs in high school. so a lefty throwing mid to upper 80s in HS with good off speed with the potential to put on 30lbs is really good prospect. Just hasn't quite lived up to the potential yet.

hahah because he sucks and Smoke Laval recruited him and gave him a scholly.
we played each other 8 times in high school (same district) he played at Sacred Heart of Ville Platte.
We we're 6-2 against him in 2A ball.....
Here's a funny thing about Shane Ardoin...
We we're in the supers 2 years ago and he wasn't dressed out... Instead of being like all of the other players that weren't dressed out, he decided to wear a NY Yankees hat instead of a LSU hat like his teamates. How lame is that??????
That's VP for you!!!! MAIS SHA!!!!

His arm problems probably started from him throwing curveballs in Ville Platte's Dixie Minor program.
Everytime we faced them in allstars they threw at least 50% curveballs...at 9-10.
When the catcher put down the 1 finger, that was for the curveball, 2-Fastball.

Where you played?
Sacred Heart pretty much controlled the district when Shane and Taylor Ardoin played

85-87 is hard enough for a lefty..just need to know how to pitch
