There is a world of difference between not developing into a 4 year stud on the field and being a "bust." You cannot assert that a player was a bust without bashing him; the term bust is in itself bashing. So to the extent Vincent is/was not a bust, it is baseless bashing. Imo, he was far, far from a bust.
If you disagree, that is fine. But it is laughably disingenuous to describe the OP as anything but an unequivocal bash of Justin Vincent.

Are you saying that im bashing the guy/ saying i don't like him. Because to be honest he's one of my favorite players from that '03 championship season. The few times i've talked to him at the bar, he's been a class act and a standup gentlemen. Hell we both have alot incoming...i love bogies too

Justin Vincent came into LSU a freshman. He worked hard to get on that field. He was tremendous in the 2003 SECCG, but for some guys they can't handle the fame. Vincent saw himself on the cover of Sports Illustrated as well as the guy who won the SECCG player of the game award (I think) and it all went to his head. He felt I already made I got it. I proved. I think he started slacking off and thinking he didn't need to work as hard.
No player in the history of college football has fallen in the doghouse as deep as Vincent went. You couldn't find him. He was like 7th team. It seemed like.
Also, the guy went out a lot. Word was that he loved Bogies. And Walks Ons. And Tiger Land. You get the point.

Drinking & white girls! My grandson saw him regularly at bars till all hours drunk & staggering, guess that is why. I thought he was great in the bowl.
