I'm on the record as supporting CMM. Having said that, I thought LSU and Woodward should have stuck by CWW. Wade did the same thing that all of the other winning programs have been doing for decades. Also, never say never. Stranger shite has happened in the world of sports.

I don't think that he can't. I don't expect him to, I'm pretty sure some bridges have been burned. They could be rebuilt, but it would take all involved parties really wanting that. I wouldn't put money on it happening, but I still haven't given up on McMahon though. Close, but not yet.

If Hugh Freeze can come back to the SEC after hiring prostitutes, nothing is impossible. But still say WW being rehired is unlikely unfortunately

Woodward serves at the pleasure of the Board. If the board wants it, it’ll happen.

Which is why it will never happen and people need to get it out of their heads. If I was Wade and Scott Woodward called me tomorrow I'd tell him to get fricked.

With that said, McMahon needs to go and there are other coaches out there.

I'd be the happiest man on Earth. I don't see it happening with Woodwards ego tho. This could be a way for him to get heat off of himself tho because I think the BK era will get ugly ugly when we don't make the fricking playoffs yet again this upcoming season.

Your an idiot, he did and does what every program did and does. He just didn't do it with a middle man and inserted himself to much to have an out. What he did is legal now so all should be forgiven. Knee jerk reaction by lsu, and a dumb one at that. Should've let it play out till the end

"Cloud of negativity" was the "reason".

Our admin bowed down to tranny lover Pat Forde and that decrepit piece of shite Dick Vitale talking complete non sense on Twitter since you know, those two figs are a beacon of righteousness.

this is exactly right…..The program is giving the exact ROI that the university puts into the program. The university has never truly cared about Men’s basketball. That is at best the 3rd and most likely the 4th most important sport after Football, Baseball and WBB. LSU invested heavily in the other three and has gotten results. Fact is until the university sees the men’s program as an asset instead of a liability it won’t matter if they dig up John Wooden to coach it won’t matter. Sure they will occasionally win the conference and make a little run in the big dance but the program will never see sustained success with the university treating the program the way it has.

Wade needs to be hired after this season. If we wait too long someone else will snatch him up.

Because he’s an idiot and couldn’t get his teams any further than the sweet 16.

Is this wishful thinking or do you know something?

When we hired a coach who had been to the tournament 3 of his last 5 seasons (would have been 4 of 5 but for Covid) we told the world what, exactly? Just because he is failing does not mean he looked like he would be a failure when he was hired. It happens.

Do you think Wade is so prideful and stubborn that he doesn't think he made any mistakes in that situation and put the University in a bad position? In my opinion, one that could only end with him being let go.

I think he would take the job in a heartbeat if it were his best offer after this season. The only problem is he will not be invested in the current program so if he is offered a landing spot at a more traditional power or a perceived better program, I would expect him to take that instead.

Woodward is and has always been a practical man. If the board wants him to hire Wade, he will with no reservations. Pride has little to do with negations at that level.

But the board and the University president will have a say so. There are basketball fans on the board and some Wade fans but make no mistake, Wade was let go with the backing of the board, most of them are football fans first and anything they perceive to threaten football will be dealt with quickly. That was the perception and probably the threat behind the scenes when he was let go.

Now that he will be past the show cause period, he is a viable option if LSU wants him to be.
