We don't have an opening at the moment for head coach?? We did hire Wilson though for a position that was open.

I like to think that color isn't a part of the decision making at LSU. Trent Johnson, who has been nothing but a class guy since coming into Baton Rouge is the proof in the pudding, and Pokey is another example. With that being said, there are only a few African American Football coaches in football compared to basketball.

I'm not sure of the count now that Herm Edwards, Romeo, and Tony Dungy are out, but I think when they were coaching in the NFL, there were were black head coaches in the league than in the NCAA div1

WHere do some of you idiots live?
WHat do you do for a living?

In my 34 yrs of exsistence Ive yet to come across people that think and say things that at times I read on here.

Name one impressive black head coach that is prepared for a program like LSU.

I think he named three. But Kevin Sumlin would be my pick. I dont think his color would have as much to do with his recruiting as his ability to coach. Would be a good hire if LSU lost Miles, because I dont think he needs to be fired. Just needs to keep better assistants around him.

Please stop using this as a reference for Miles. There are alot of coaches out there that could have won a championship in 07 with LSU.

The facts are that probally 80 percent of blue chip recruits are african american, they would come in groves all across the country to play here.
You always hear this, but when has it ever happened when a school hired a black coach? Miss St, Michigan St, Stanford, UCLA, Notre Dame, Miami, Washington?

Gill,Kevin Sumlin,Charlie Strong would be great at LSU.

Turner Gill: Urban Meyer was better in the same conference and it got him a job at Utah. Big programs don't hire from the MAC.

Kevin Sumlin: 18-8 at Houston, showing promise but hardly a lock for a major BCS school.

Charlie Strong: Very good defense for several years, appears ready to be a good head coach. At least to a semi large school that will gamble on hiring a coordinator.

LSU would not hire anyone, regardless of color, without a better resume than these guys. Thankfully, dumbasses like you who look primarily at race don't make the decisions in the athletic department.

Where does Miles' apear in my statement? I didn't specify a national championship, just a championship.
Now get your mommy to read it to you again and then go outside and play in the rain.

because they don't exsist

This might be news to you but there is no such thing as a african american. Atleast not in the way you are meaning. These black ppl who were born in this country are Americans plain and simple.

Because we have a coach.

Haven't seen anything to suggest they would be ready to take over a top ten program.

That really didn't work for Mississippi State (Croom) or Notre Dame (Willingham) did it?

Yep, I agree. If he is good, they can be purple. Wasn't Gill or Strong supposed to be up for the Auburn job last year and their was word that some of the current SEC coaches didn't like the fact that they had a white wife? Don't know who the coaches were, but what does that have to do with being a coach?
