Why can't LSU get U High players lately?

Just started looking at LA State rankings, and I saw that there are 3 players at U High that are 4 star guys who are going to Clemson, Texas A&M, and Georgia. Seems embarrassing that Coach O the great recruiter can't get the best players from his own city.

How many have they offered that have committed elsewhere?

I've always wondered if some of these guys just get sick of being in the same place for so long. Part of the joy of college was going off to a new place and meeting all new people. I couldn't imagine how miserable I'd be if I went to college on the same campus as I went to High school and possibly K-8 too.

Exactly. Scholarship to attend pretty much any college you want.. some kids just want to move away

Spoke to a Uhigh kid yesterday and they said they want to get as far away from LSU as possible. Said they’ve already been there and done that, regarding the LSU thing. Would like to experience something different for college.

The three guys you're referencing are all "athletes" who do not have a defined position (they are listed at LB or WR). Not saying the staff wouldn't take those guys, but at the positions these guys might play in college, we already have commits from higher ranked recruits who are more natural fits at those positions (Donte Starks at ILB, Marcel Brooks at OLB, Trey Palmer at WR).

He’s busy building that fence around LOUISIANA.

I imagine that after going to high school on LSU's campus, they'd want to go experience a different place

Was this a normal student or a football player?
Because if I was a normal student at UHigh I would want something different too.

I am a lifelong LSU fan, went to LSU, etc..
But if I went to U-high.. And before that the lab school.. and then went to LSU. It would sort of be like continuing HS. You already experienced pretty much everything LSU has to offer.. Well at least to a certain degree. So if I was a 4 or 5 star recruit and had the opportunity to go to a number of other schools (some that offers more than LSU), I would be interested in a new experience.

That’s why I prefer good players we want not to go to uhigh because they will get bored with the same scenery from high school to college. I remember awhile back Auburn used to get a lot of players from Florida state lab school in Tallahassee because of the same reason.

Ok here’s the scenario, if we’re talking about choosing another instate school over LSU then absolutely not unless it’s Tulane.
If the opportunity presents itself to move away from home to go to school at Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia or Tennessee, then yes why the hell not?
You’d still have a ton of friends at LSU that you can come back and visit anytime. You’d meet new people and see new things. What’s so bad about this?? I don’t see why y’all are down voting?
