2-8 on the road is really bad, and four of those losses came to below average in state teams.

If we don't get a national seed, we can dismiss any hopes of getting to Omaha.

Getting to host a regional would be a miracle right now. This team just isn't very good this year.

will be good for them to play on the road in a regional imo. they have gotten so comfortable hosting every year. they need to travel/play on the road/ stay in some crappy motel. toughen em up a little

I wouldn't hold your breath on getting a national seed.

LSU's season is not defined by a top 8 ranking heading into the tournament.

LSU replaced 3 starters and 5 guys in the lineup.

Walker
Smith
Broussard
Storz

have all seen significant time lost due to injury.

Feduccia, Watson, Jordan, Labas, and now Gilbert have all missed a couple of games here or there.

The truth is LSU's doing everything they can to stay afloat "at the moment". The team hasn't been at full strength much at all since the opening day lineup was announced. There was and will be growing pains on the road for an inexperienced group. Much like 2016 I would try to enjoy the season game by game without the burden knowing they must get to 20 SEC wins or failure.

With a little luck and getting a few key guys back in the next few weeks LSU can start solidifying roles and then and only then will the lineup start to make some noise in May and June.

We lost last night due to poor pitching at important spots. Plain and simple.

Not to criticize the coaches nor any player...but it seems like LSU has an abundant amount of injuries to kids who are just 19 or 20 years old.

I might be underestimating the amount of key injuries to other major baseball programs. I truly don't know.

2-8 on the road is really bad, and four of those losses came to below average in state teams.

3 of those 4 were by 1 run and the other by 2. The 4 remaining were against Vandy and A&M, two ranked teams. Against Vandy we lost 2 games by a combined 3 runs.

Yeah it would totally be a miracle for a top 20 team halfway into the SEC season to host. Was this your opinion last year when we had more midweek losses and a 10-8 SEC record with 12 SEC games left to play? My guess is it probably was

I pity the school that draws LSU as their 2 seed.

I agree if it were to happen. A lot of baseball left. That should be a big motivator if it does happen.

This isn't an answer to your question, but the team rarely travels outside the box, much less the state prior to conference play. IMO it would be good for them to get out on the road early in the season.

Road game judders. It's a lot of stress traveling and playing in front of hostile crowds.

To the Tigers' credit, they did win one game at Vandy, and one @ Aggy: no small feat.

We have never progressed when playing the regional or super regional on the road under the format that has been used since 1999.

Bobby cox fault no doubt. Booby cox fault losing CWS no doubt. Bobby cox fault for being a loser on the road. Time for booby cox to take a hike.
