What’s crazy is that McMahon makes more money than Hubert Davis at UNC, which is a blue blood. McMahon makes as much as Mark Few at Gonzaga.

I was thinking the same thing. What if a Power 4 program doesn’t come calling? What if only larger Mid Majors come his way? I could definitely see him staying where he’s at and holding out for a better opportunity

Exactly, this is insane. The program dropped to pulling in only 1.4mil last season. MM makes 2.7 so he’s draining the program in a big way. An NCAA tourney appearance pays out 2million per game, making the dance means everything. Now we’re being fed some BS about NIL, he can put up what he’s costing us. The average for P4 tourney teams is between 1.5 and 3 million in NIL per year, if he donated the 1.3 he’s costing us to the 1.5 we already spend it would put us in the top bracket in NIL. I know that isn’t going to happen but you can see how ridiculous the money situation and the NIL BS we’re being fed is.

At some point you just have to stop arguing with these folks. The sample size is large enough. He's not going to get it done. And as others have pointed out, not only is he not going to get it done, but it's only getting worse. But if he stays for 10 more years there will still be a portion of the fan base making excuses for him. I don't dislike the man at all, but he's clearly in over his head. Annually or total contract?
ETA. Based on 2024 numbers, it is crazy but you are correct. Few is grossly underpaid.

Salary, Davis makes between 1.25 and 1.7 per, Few makes 2.7.
