Some will say we make second half adjustments well. Bk pointed out that with technology they make adjustments through the game and not so much at halftime.

Again it has to be scheme and coaching....and how the team is preparing during practice.

What say ye?

dunno....been that way under Kelly. Last couple of years LSU got better as the game went on, but usually started extremely slow. Its kinda like Kelly always losing the opener. Its like some sort of mental block to start slow and try to fix it as it goes.

It seems to have been this way going back to the Miles era

Sloan doesn't know how to script plays. We have 4 punts and 1 turnover in our 5 first drives. We aren't a great 2nd half team. We just aren't as bad as we are to start games.

Bk said he wants to start fas9but v we rarely do.
That has to be practiced repeatedly. The online has to play the first possession like the national championship is on the line.
The play calling has to be the 2 minute drill.
All Hands on deck

That's a practiced mentality that is not being drilled into players heads.
Coaches don't seem to be hungry and all in.

A second half team? You haven’t beaten anybody with the winning record.

Kelly plays to not lose, so there are few risks taken early and I think he likes to get a feel for the game. Same reason we never blow out any P5 teams. Even the ones we're much better than it's often times a slow strangling.

A&M last year was a rare hot start but we shite that away

We aren't a 2nd half team. What BK said is false. 10 pts on Clemson, 7 on Florida, 12 on Ole Miss. In 2nd halves. That's not a 2nd half team.

LSU has beat 2, 4-2 teams, and another team who had a Top 10 win. Hasn't been elite, but this is just a lie.

They got 34yrs of film on CBK and 1 terrible year of Sloan so they(DCs) rolling the dice and coming up 7s all day. CBK doesn’t have those farm fed big OL running ram shot over slow DL instead he’s in the SEC with No OL and fast quick huge DL of the SEC

We lost 2023 and 2024 openers in the 2nd half after leading. We never kept our foot on the gas on offense both times. Defense fell apart in usual fashion.

Don’t know how to game plan from watching film. They see the film, don’t believe what they see then try to outsmart the opposing coaches.
