LSU fans do exist outside of Baton Rouge. Lots of them.

Well if they play at night they won't be going head to head with the Cowboys. They play at 3 30 in the afternoon. I assume the LSU A&M game will be played at night.

Not likely

CBS has first dibs and it would be a 2:30pm game.

Don't you all have off of work? What difference does it make if an away game is on thanksgiving?

I loathe watching LSU sports with my family.

Actually very likely. CBS will still pick up the Iron Bowl on Saturday.

Ok? So what? They aren't going to have a nighttime SEC game on CBS on thanksgiving

Therefore, not all fans have to drive 6 hours to see the game. I would have to drive an hour and 15 minutes. There are quite a few fans that live that close to College Station, so your comment talking about it not being reality to think no fans are going to drive 6 hours to the game blah blah is irrelevant. Not all fans have to drive 6 hours to the game.

You make such a great argument.

So there is no chance ESPN gets the game if CBS takes the Iron Bowl on Saturday?

CBS has the NFL on Thanksgiving, either the Lions at 1130 or the Cowboys at 3. They will not show a CFB regardless.

ETA: The Thanksgiving night game will be on ESPN, CBS will have games on Friday and Saturday.

Family normally makes all the western division road games and occasionally others. I wouldn't attend a home game on Thanksgiving day, I know what puts me in the mega minority.

Sow we're going to set up the schedule based on LSU fans that live out of state now?

Honestly, I'm not sure why we're arguing over this, as it seems to be clear those that seem to not mind the game being played on Thanksgiving in college station also would have no issue with it being played on Thanksgiving in Tiger Stadium. the issue doesn't seem to be one of travel, but of not seeing any issue with going to a game on Thanksgiving.

Personally, I'd be super pissed if the game ever got moved to Thanksgiving in Tiger Stadium. And before anyone has the gall to suggest that we know for a fact it will never be, let me remind you that the SEC office has never shown any indication they take LSU's wishes into account on anything.

Does LSU really need to wear white jerseys at home?

It's not that big of a deal right?

Why any LSU fan would really want to add LSU football to an already full Thanksgiving Day?

Those fans don't have obligatory family stuff to do apparently.

Thank you.

I want to be able to enjoy the game, which is impossible when watching it with family (who don't care about LSU like we do)- and want to talk and catch up because some of them haven't seen me in a year.

Thanksgiving is going to turn it into "oh by the way, put the LSU game on so it can be running in the background while we all socialize".

i was assuming an LSU@A&M game on T-day would not conflict with any of the NFL games. It'd be at night. But, now I recall that the NFL Network has started its own tradition of a 3rd NFL game on that day and it is always the night game. So, yes, that's another negative.

(very, very minor IMO to the negative of clamdip not being able to go to collie station!)
