Recently as in last 5 years or so? Bama, Oregon is definitely in the mix, LSU belongs there, maybe Stanford, Ohio St, Fla. it's really a toss up after the top 3 or so.

Truly. Last year's Stanford versus LSU, South Carolina, and Florida would have been tossups. Alabama, Texas A&M, and Georgia would have been tougher to stop, but Stanford could at least slow down their running games.

Alright, why? Unless it's because you think there's a considerable gap between Alabama and everyone else, then I see no reason why they shouldn't be in a current Top 5 Programs listing?

I guess we should cancel next season and hand them the crystal. They are ahead in championships but their program isn't invincible. They can and have been beaten.

Texas is not a top 5 program of all time. Oklahoma might be though

Well I am interested to see what happens with Oregon after losing their head coach.

Alabama
LSU
Florida

all that matter.

Oregon

ETA: LSU omitted TAMU.

I won't give TAMU points for just last year so I took them out completely. This is based on the last three years(60) and future potential of each team(40).

Bama is 1 and LSU and Florida are 2 and 3 in no particular order. Oregon is probably 4. Ohio State is probably at 5 (due to weak conference -- I think an argument for Georgia could be made for this spot).

Clemson is not even the best program in its own state right now. USC has beaten Clemson four years in a row and 5 out of the last 7.

Stanford started two quarterbacks last season. The first quarterback was the starter against Washington and Notre Dame. Kevin Hogan was undefeated. Also, Washington was a different team at home versus on the road.

LSU has better talent than most programs outside of the SEC including Stanford and Notre Dame. You didn't beat Notre Dame 42-14, and I doubt you would.

If you dont think LSU would beat Notre Dame by at least 21pts, there is something wrong with you. And its got more to do with how bad ND was than how good LSU was. That team shouldnt of been playing for a Natl title... PERIOD. Going to the wire with Stanford is 1 thing... Struggling with Purdue, Pitt, and BYU is another. If BYU would of made their FG they would of went OT. And Pitt would of won if they made a FG too. Purdue went 6-7, but only lost to ND by 3 and gave them all they could handle. BYU went 8-5 and shoulda went to OT with ND. Pitt went 6-7 and should of BEATEN ND. ND was a joke.

I hate Alabama

I stopped talking about them after the do over game...

I don't think they deserved to be in that game primarily because they lost the West conference to LSU at home...LSU 13-0 equal SEC representative in the title game, period...we don't have a play off system so the regular season is all we have..It was settled there...

Just because Alabama was better eye candy than OSU does not forfeit OSU's chance to play LSU in the game

End of story

I didn't forget anything. What does Alabama's game against Notre Dame have to do with LSU's potential against Stanford last season?
