Obviously the best player in America, Mathieu. But our problem was mainly the OLine, so I'll take Faulk.

Which one of those guys was a Heisman finalist?

I think Mathieu wins the Heisman with a season similar to 2011. Thus making him the most valuable.

Any of those players would have made an impact on the games, obviously.

What game we lost because we couldn't score?? florida ran it down our throat and if odell wouldn't have fumbled we probably win that game anyway. alambama last drived killed us and that's it with that game pretty much. Even though we couldn't convert a 3 and 2 that didn't stop clemson from flinging the ball everywhere in the 4th quarter. We needed the badger in a bad way this year.

The fla game was not close

3rd downs: fla 7-14 LSU 1-13
Rushing yrds: fla 176 to 42

it was a one score game... it was still close despite the stats you are putting up.

I take Randle in a heartbeat. Was he the best player? No... but he'd have helped tremendously, especially early on.

Randle would have run the correct routes and been where Mett expected, so he would have been a lot more confident making a quick throw instead of taking a sack. The offense would have been a lot more consistent and productive, in my simple opinion.

Defensively, we were fine.

TM7 and we don't lose a game. Remind me, was he on the team on 1/9/12, I can't remember

Yes, he was...and that team went into Alabama 9 weeks before the bogus rematch and beat The Tide in the "Game of the Century" while already ranked #1 in the country.

#2 the Tide was both times, and they came through on their second attempt on a neutral field.

Ask yourself: if LSU had been the team ranked #2 and had lost the way Bama did @ Bama in the first game, would we have gotten to stay home and watch Bama beat Georgia and then get to play Bama again
for all the marbles in NO? If you answered "No", then you'll likely understand how I personally feel about the whole thing.

And if you answered "yes", then you're both a liar and a fan of another team.

Think about how good our defensive backfield could have been with PP, MC, ER, along with Janzen Jackson and TM7... all on the field at the same time. I think it could have happened...right?

I think LSU would've gotten a rematch but only bc the schedule was so impressive. LSU with Bama's schedule does not get of deserve a rematch.

Are you a religious man? If yes, do you swear to God that you really think we would've gotten a rematch?

ESPN lobbies for us there along with the SEC office and the rest of the national media? Cereal, man?

I noticed u didnt include Claiborne? Tyrann was a badass no doubt but Claiborne can cover the spirit, my brother.
Id say our secondary coverage was our weakest point regarding these defensive guys and my pick would be Claiborne. when u can put 1 guy on the other teams star receiver and can add an extra guy to pass rush, drop into coverage or sneak down for run support from the same formation thats a huge advantage. A true lock down corner is so rare many NFL guys say theyve only seen 1 in their life at the pro level, Deion.Mathieu was a superstar but we have others that couldve given us a game changing play.Ron Brooks did a great job filling in last yr. But, this Claiborne guy was special. Peterson and Claiborne going top 6 in back to back yrs as corners will not be duplicated for a loooong time.
But any of these four wouldve been at least 1 game for us.

No brainier. Randle.

Our D could've been better. But, they played well enough to win.

Offense needed a receiving threat. Randle caught passes. Maybe it would have pushed the others to play better.

Again, when a defensive player would account for about half as many touchdowns as a receiver, the answer is quite simple. Mathieu.
