Not a bad choice. Has one national championship. Same as Mainieri. His .665 career winning percentage is slightly better than Mainieri's .662. Seems like a push.

It’s not about Mainieri being a good coach...

But his time is coming to an end. The fire in the program is missing for the 2nd year in a row. Top recruiting classes with barely any development. He looks defeated every game, doesn’t chew anyone out, barely argues calls, etc.

I think Paul is a great coach and has a historical career, but some fresh blood from a young coach would rejuvenate the program.
