Coaches would line up and crawl on their belly across glass for this job.

It's potentially, one of the best paying jobs in the country. With big money comes big responsibility, pressure and expectations. Every coach is aware of that fact when they got into coaching. It comes with the territory.

Basically, any coach in their right mind.

Who brought in Bo Pelini? Was that a good hire? How about JChavis... good hire?
What about the desicon to boot RP off team... how about the consistency in recruiting?

To say GC isnt or wasnt qualified when LM brought him is fricking absurd.
You people dont seem to understand that on offense your qb often makes or breaks you.
JL and JJ hasnt "made" GC the way MF did.

LM nor GC is getting fired nor should they.

Serioulsy,
If some of you idiots had your way, where the F would be?
Had two tough seasons, in the toughest conference and you want the guy fired?
Even though our recruiting is still top notch, problems are being fixed (new hires) this yr and last and we had two first yr qbs leading the way.

Maybe some of yall should quit your 10 buck an hr job, go over and apply yourselves, b/c many of you certianly seem to have things figured out.

agree 100%

There would be a million coaches willing to take a 3.5 million dollar check from LSU and the pressure, with the recruiting advantages and Tiger Stadium so STFU.

This post is intended for Tigerlee

Pelini made Miles look like a genius! Chavis, I'm not sold on him. I understand JJ hasn't shined, but he hasn't killed us either! What kills me the most is Crowton running that damn option!!!! IT DOES NOT WORK! AND IT REALLY DOES NOT WORK WHEN YOU RUN TO THE SHORT SIDE OF THE FIELD!!! Also, calling a WR screen at the end of a game with no timeouts left!! Tigerlee, I'm waiting for the Budweiser "Real Men of Genius" commercial with Les Miles and Gary Crowton!

LSU job is a premium HC job and a coach who does well there will be considered one of the best coaches in the country. However, like any HC job, it takes the right man to be successful. Unfortunately, Les Miles isn't the right guy for the job but due to an unfortunate set of circumstances LSU is still paying for the 2007 Championship. Due to the fact that the LSU administration needs to cover their bottoms for that bad decision, LSU will probably have to pay for that Championship for another 2 years and hope they can find the right guy for the job.

Im still waitng on one of you goons to explain why this is fact.
B/c the facts that I see are that GC had to deal with JL and JJ the last two yrs and if you combind both of thems play you still come out with MEDIOCRE.
How is this GC's fault?
I honestly believe some of you underestimate the improtance of having a qb that is above avg leading your team.

NO, the logic I have is that we have a head coach he doesn't have the audacity to overall a OC when he calls a dumbass play, is a bonafide poor clock manager, and always wishes he could have that call back........

Now STFU once again because you are oblivious to the business that LSU is and what kind of coaches they can get.

Miles is on the HOT SEAT due to his own actions, no one is blaming his recruiting or his character; just his inability to improve an offense, not firing the leader of the offense, and blowing 3 games this year in which he had the lead in the 4th quarter.

You just can't see it can you?

I like Les Miles, but at some point he needs to take responsibility for the problems with the program. LSU for the last couple of years has shown to be very disorganized and undiciplined on the field. I ask you who is responisible for this?

How the frick did LM "blow" the game vs bama or PSU?

WTF do you expect from an offense that has two subpar qbs the last yrs?
I bet you didnt want GC fired after Ohio state game... but now with two first yr qbs in back to back seasons... "frick GC he sux, he should be fired BLA BLA BLA FUKING BLA....
ITs pathetic.

No he can't cause he likes his character and recruiting.......

I like Les Miles too as a man, but at some point you have to take responsibility for whats going on, quit making excuses, cause man he has had a bunch this year, and do something that says hey I'm in charge and you aren't gonna frick with me.

That may have been true back in the day. Today, for better or worse, its a gunslingers world. Top gun, top dollar, top ego, etc.

Theses guys want to win, badly. They look for schools that provide the tools needed to win at the top level.

1. Facilities- check
2. Commitment to excellence- check
3. Fan base- check
4. High school talent pool- check
5. Salaries- check
6. State school- check
7. Has the school/program won in the past- check

Today's gunslinger could care less how the old guy was treated. They're glad he got fired so they can have the opportunity.
