Who Wins? 2003 LSU Team vs. 2011 LSU Team...

...with the caveat that Jarrett Lee starts for the 2011 team in this matchup.
This would be a tremendous defensive struggle. I think it would come down to the coaching of Saban and the fact that Lee is just more mistake prone than Mauck.

Mauck was infinitely better than either Jefferson or Jarrett. 03 defense was nasty and pounded OU and their Heisman winning QB.

We are crazy bc we don't live for the moment lol. The secondary was a little better in 11. You forget we had Webster Landry as DBs. Really good LB core. And prolly most dominant defensive line we will ever have. Running back we were better. Qb light years better.

I don't disagree. It's just that posters were assuming Jefferson starting and basing their comparisons and predictions on that.
