PM is a very good coach. IF he really wants to retire, then that's that. Let's see what happens in Omaha.

McDonnell and Godwin should be the final 2 on the list.
O'Connor as "safe" option 3
Fixed it for you.

Bianco isn’t well liked in Mississippi. A lot of people wish he would go away. Goodwin might be a good fit.

Ok, who is better?
Any coach that still wants to coach and has the drive and desire to do so.

This is so sad, yall. Bianco is going to be the next coach.

McDonnell costs too much.
Not an issue. Amazing how this is forgotten every 3 minutes.

Corbin and mcdonnell. If not those 2 then its a crap shoot imo

Ok, who is better?
Any competent coach who will work hard. Mainieri has not worked hard since 2009, and it’s getting worse. I admire him for seeking a balanced life and putting his family first, but that’s not what wins, and that’s not what we pay in excess of $1 million per year for.

Better than PM today? More than half the SEC HC's..

PM WAS a very good coach.
He deserves more respect, but he is clearly in decline as a coach.

Good God, this pm replacement is becoming even more and more like the Les miles situation.

I can name many however my pick for the job would be Dan Hefner of DBU!!! That would be a hell of a hire with a great resume and still a young man that is hungry. Willing to make changes to his program to fit the game each year. Just think of the recruiting he’s doing with DBU that he could do at a school like LSU! Done for 20 years and 5 to 6 national championships!!!’n
