ou mean the exact seasons he was fired for?

And yet you can still make the case that in just those years, he's done just as much as 0 has, while not having 2 horrible, unprecedented losses.

Well luckily for Dabo he's exhibited a pattern of recruiting and developing Heisman-caliber QBs.

but a great play caller should score points with or without a heismen caliber qb...per the rant

who was the HC of arguably our best team ever in 2011 that scored 9 pts in 8+ qtrs against bama?

The irony:

the first 4 quarters was not only a victory against the crimson tide, but a victory on the road

the second 4 quarters were in a little thing I like to call the national championship game

both, the victory and national title appearance have yet to be accomplished since

Also, O openly states that Canada was not his hire and that he wanted Ensminger all along. That means that his preferred coaching staff has still yet to score a point on Bama.

I'm just responding to your statements - I am currently pretty hyped about the recruiting and the change O has made with Brady on board.

He's had two in 10 years. One a true Frosh last season.

Clemson boosters and fans wanted Dabo fired after season 2. They remind me of the rantards.

How about just A point. Let O and E put their heads together and manage ONE single point against Bama, before you rip on Clemson (who has bested Bama in two championship games recently) for scoring 6 points in a NC loss.

No one overlooks it. Some peole don't like to count the interim time against 0, so why should those be held against Miles?

I think the poster in that very post overlooked it in his comparison.

And I'm no big O supporter, but I think the reason some hold it against Miles is that he had all his players, and had prepared the entire summer before. It was his team, and had been for a while. Those 4 games are on him.

O inherited a team mid season, at .500. Had no time to prepare. Had to assume the negative attitudes of the team that was now 2-2 without the head coach that recruited them. He was reacting, not pro-active, as Miles was.

I don't know what Miles would have done. You don't either. All I know is that at that point, he was 2-2 and let go. And in years past, Miles teams tended to lose motivation once the NC was out of reach.

But clearly, comparing Miles' interim and O's interim are 2 completely different animals.

The gameplan was solid against bama, the lines just got whipped like red headed step children

Okay...? How many does O have in his combined LSU and Ole Miss stints?

That has nothing to do with what we're discussing, you only bring that up to try and draw a comparison between the two coaches in an attempt to argue that O deserves just as much time.

He didn't, just some times it's not applicable. Ask trout and friends about how that works.

It's not like Wisconsin was bad that year, and Auburn is always tough at home.

I have 11 years of data to support that Miles would likely win at least all tge interim games that 0 did, and likely wins the UF game too.

Sounds like a pretty shitty game plan in that case

Good QBs placed in a system that allowed them to flourish. Something that has not existed at LSU under O. Who knows, maybe they can pull a rabbit out of a hat this year with Urban-developed Burrow.

This past year? No fricking way. The gameplan was the same shite that didn't work against SELU and La Tech.

You don't think this is coach speak? You think most coaches wouldn't say the exact same thing? I've never heard a coach say it didn't work out with this guy so we went with our 4th or 5th choice.
