Coach O is not yet a upgrade over Les.
I dont think anyone is saying he is an upgrade. He hasnt won anything yet. But in terms of building the program up and get us back to where we should be recruiting wise, hes done a decent job to this point.

We have no idea what he would have done here. This seems a little unfair.
Maybe but it does show the level of despair we had reached in trying to find competent QBs.

He was never supposed to play in '08. We had to kick RP off the team in case you had forgotten.

Are you just not paying attention these last couple days or what?

that I even have to explain this to you guys is odd
No one needs it explained. The problem is 2012 was the top ranked 3 loss team, lost by a combined 13 points, two teams that finished top 10 and they were ranked 12th.
Stop acting like 2018 was a far better season because other teams also lost 3 games allowing the top ranked 3 loss team to get 6th.
Also, I had to explain to you that there was a formation called the offset I formation.

Yea my bad.....a little busy here at work.
Any idiot claiming O is an upgrade at this point...is simply trolling.
I support O for now, but I'm not going that far as to say hes an upgrade.

at the time they played they were...you saying bama didn't get credit for beating a top 5 team? For once answer a question. I never shy away from questions.
We've already been through this. Calling 2017 FSU a top 5 team is a joke.

couldn’t imagine hating a coach so much that you drag out a thread 44 pages.
No one hates O.
Facts about O's tenure isnt hating him.
The mountain top of Ed Orgeron's head coaching career is having a season we deemed as underachieving when miles was the coach. That's a fact.
No one on this site was happy when miles would lose 3 games and struggle on offense but yet here you are saying people hate O because we arent gargling his nuts when he just lost 3 games and struggled on offense.
It's a shame that has to be explained to you O fanatics. O was hired to be better than Miles. Not have the same results san subjective polling.

Well duh...yea.....I mean he picked up JB who was already seasoned
I dont consider JB as seasoned when he got here. He had thrown 28 passes in big 12 play.
I do agree he is very talented though.

I've given it twice.
Wrong. Your opinion is that LSU is better off not running the table in the SEC and beating texas than running the table in the SEC and losing to Texas.

What did he do after he left here?

Did you have something other than an emoticon as a response?
ETA: Now that you've edited, what people do at other schools is relevant? I've read here several times that only LSU things are relevant.

We;'re talking about a troy type loss.

yes, you're trying to mix arguments. I again see what you're trying to do .
Oh no, I think EVERYONE reading this thread sees what you're trying to do. (hint: make up ambiguous definitions to justify what you cite as opinion, to be fact).
There's no shame in admitting that you may have misstated something as fact that is not. But go ahead and double down.

You specifically said Troy in your post I responded to.

Good thing I didn't do that then.
ETA: I guess I better put the original posts in here since you seem to forget them:
quote:quote:Irrelevant because team that loses to Troy will never make the playoffs.
I didn't ask that. I asked which carries more weight. When vying for the SEC championship, and a chance to play for the national title, which is more devastating, a loss to OOC (Troy) or a loss to an SEC team?

And as it stands today Larry Coker is a more accomplished coach than our guy.
There is a long line of coaches who are more accomplished than O. It's laughable what ten wins, third in the west and fifth in the SEC with a shitty offense gets you these days.
Many of those excited over that would be shitting all over it just a few years ago.
