O has LSU football trending up right now, really is a damn shame you nerds and haters can’t enjoy it and acknowledge it.

In 2007 the SEC was as mediocre as it gets. LSU and UGA has 2 losses, everyone else had at least 4 losses on the season. It was the easiest of years to win it all.
What's your stance for 2017 and 2018?
2017 O faced 1 sec team that would finish with less than 4 losses.
3 of his 6 sec wins combined for 4 sec wins.
2018 all 3 of his sec west wins finished with at least 3 losses
In his 2 year stint o is 2-5 against sec teams that finished with less than 5 losses.

Exceeded expectations? Absolutely.
Upgrade? Hell no. I have not seen a single game with O as HC that I thought "Man, good thing we have O as the coach or we wouldn't have won that one!"
On the other hand, there are a few games I've watched and said "Damn, Les would've won that one."
O as HC is a net neutral, so far. He hasn't hurt the program, but he hasn't really improved it either.

Go look at that 2016 offensive recruiting class and compare that to the players Saban left for Miles.
Poor Old O can't do anything with a bare cupboard, the guy just can't catch a break! He took over a team with no talent, the poor guy needs at least 5 years to get everything straightened out!

2019 will go a long way in determining the direction of the program IMO. The Texas game in particular is a litmus test. Alabama will be the other.

However, the facts are that Miles was in a long-running QB rut that he couldn’t solve. That’s what got Miles fired, not the 3 loss threshold that you fools argue over dai
Holy shite. Miles was fired for wins and losses. As of finding a good qb outweighs losses. You guys are so desperate to find way to tout 4 and 3 loss O seasons while still being able to bash Miles losing 3 games. Everyone can see what you're doing.

Total body of work, it's Les and it's not even close.
If you're just talking about the last 3 years of LM tenure then yeah, I guess it's an upgrade. We'll never know if Les could have righted the ship but I'm thankful to coach O for the job he's doing.
That being said he needs to make the CFP in the next three years or I'd like a new coach.

Coach O has been more adaptable in 3 years than Miles was over a decade. Yet people are quick to act like that Is a bad thing.
And his offenses have been vastly less productive than 2 of miles' last 3 offenses.
But hey let's adapt away.

We don’t know how Ed Orgeron will produce on the field. He won 10 games last year and a NY6 bowl. That’s awesome. He is recruiting well. Les Miles has done both of those things multiple years at LSU. The time for evaluating this is not now obviously. Ed has been there two years.
Les had 6 some odd 10 win seasons. Top 6 classes half a handful of times. One national title. It’s going to take Ed at least another 5 years to build that kind of a resume.

We are. Good thing too, that was Miles downfall.

His downfall was more productive than what you're touting.

I'm touting a potentially better offense in 2019.
I guess on top of all the other things you brag about, you're clairvoyant.

The cognitive dissonance is stunning, but not surprising.

Ed getting 5.5 years if this year goes 3+ losses again

Losing Perrilloux sent Miles into a death spiral. It's like he couldn't scout high school quarterbacks after that happened. Every quarterback after was flawed and never developed.
Jordan Jefferson - good athlete but not a world beater. Couldn't read a defense
Jarrett Lee - Might have been a servicable QB if he hadn't been pressed into service so early to replace Perrilloux. Confidence was a problem the rest of his career.
Russell Shepard - Freak athlete with 0 arm talent. Miles got caught star gazing. Just goes to show that the recruiting services are wrong sometimes too.
Anthony Jennings - Average athlete with limited skills and a poor arm talent. Not an SEC player. Struggled as a starter for ULL
Brandon Harris - Good athlete with a strong arm but extremely inaccurate and struggled with confidence.
It's almost like these kids never got worked out by the LSU coaches. And then when we get them here, there is almost zero quarterback development.
Which of these kids wasn't a basket case after spending time in the Miles QB system?

You have morons in this thread trying to discredit one of the only three championships LSU has won in football because they don't like the coach. Incredible fans indeed.

So is your reading comprehension. You clearly don't know what "potentially" means
