I truly thought you were capable of understanding that our fans bitching that we finished 6 th with 3 losses just adds credibility to all the CFB fans that mock us for being the only 2 loss bcsnc...I guess I overestimated you
I don't give a shite about other fans. Last year was no where close to'07. anyone comparing them as almost equal is a moron. You choose to keep doing it, so I'll assume you must be one too.

You don’t have to make it to Atlanta to make the playoff...so my point is sound. We needed help just like 2007

I’m tired of talking about it bc if you think I’m comparing the success of each season you are way off

The point is the help came BECAUSE LSU won the SEC title. Without it, LSU doesn't jump all of the other 2 loss conference champions.
That's basic common sense.

I can't help that you choose the words you do. If you want to say something different, do it.

If the odds of us making the playoffs prior to A&M were higher than prior to 2007 sec championship would that matter to you?

The odds weren't higher because of no conference championship appearance. So your "sound" point, which is actually a pretty ridiculous hypothetical, is moot.

I can only answer for me, but nope. BCS was only two spots instead of four, and Bama ans Clemson would have waxed us last year, so gettimg in would have been irrlevant.

I’ve never once belittled our national title. When posters like you bitch about bad losses why isn’t it fair to bring up the losses in 2007. They were bad losses whether we won it all or nit

bullshite. Whether or not you win a championship is extremely relevant.

LSU never would have made it without the miracle of WVU losing their final game. The Loss as to Arkansas almost eliminated us.
We were 5th going into the final week. Missouri, UGA and West Virginia ahead of us.

Right. All else being equal, do you think LSU makes that same jump without the help of winning the SEC title?
You don't have to answer that because the answer is no.
ETA: Winning the SEC title in 2007 was pivotal to putting LSU in the BCSNCG. Even then, the SEC was recognized as the toughest conference.

Moving from 7th to second are better odds than 7th to 4th...wow

Without the benefit of winning a conference championship, yes.

in the past, claimed that LSU finished second in the west this past year?
Is that what you're all up in arms about?
Reading comprehensions not your thing, is it?
You see Roger, when I ask you a question like this.
quote:
Haven't you (not necessarily in this thread) in the past, claimed that LSU finished second in the west this past year?
I'm asking because I thought you had. Not for sure. just thought.
You see Roger, it's a question.
Now if I was certain you had, I would have worded it like this.
"you claimed that LSU finished second in the west this past year."
See the difference Roger? In one, I'm asking you a question about doing something. In the other I'm accusing you of doing something.
Glad we got that cleared up friend.

Because that’s trying to belittle a national title season

The ultimate goal is to hang banners so WHO GIVES A frick if they had a “bad” loss?
The Kentucky loss was on the road a week after the gut wretcher against Florida. They were ranked in the top 10 at the time (please note ranking in mid October at least is based on games played as opposed to preseason rankings) but they fell apart at the end of the year and finished unranked. Ultimately that loss didn’t matter, plenty of teams have lost 1 and win it all.
Arkansas looked devastating at the time, they weren’t a great team but did have some great players and LSU was clearly gassed and banged up at the time. IF we didn’t win it all you could bitch all you want BUT we did so it doesn’t fricking matter

If any those 4 teams hadn't miraculously lost prior to the Seccg, it wouldn't have mattered. You don't have to reply because that's absolutely correct.
We also had the fortune of playing a 9-3 Tennessee team instead of a 10-2 Georgia team in the SECCG.
