I'd get Mayers another outing because he's seemingly getting right.
I still think he is going to find his control during an important game this season, when we really need him...

I'd start Noot and give him 60 pitches.
I think he'll start again tonight. I wish he could have pitched more last week before the rain delay.

I'd go Schmidt. He seems to do better as a starter. Then let Ware, Noot and Mayers get some work. Maybe Williams as well.

I know Shores only threw 24 pitches, but I'm not sure we see him on two days rest.

Noot, Ware, Schmidt, and Shores all make sense.
I'm sure we'll see all 4 tonight plus a couple others.

I'm with you on Fontenot. There's no reason to not give him an inning or two tonight to see if what he did Saturday was legit

Id start ware, go 3-4 innings, noot for 2-3, schmidt for 1-2, then fontenot for an inning

Obligatory Who’s on first.

I need 3 batters out of Sheerin. To prove that he's real if anything.

Also I'd argue that

We tried to ease him in this weekend by letting him face a 9 hole guy hitting .200 with 2 outs in the inning and he could get it done.

I would like to see Sheerin, too, but not necessarily to "prove" anything. Just to get him up to speed. Who can really prove anything coming off an injury, albeit an ACL, not an arm, in his first game?

Idk but I bet John Pearson gets a look at DH. Jay insinuated giving him more opportunities.

SLU Friday night guy is a dude. If they get in the tourney, they will ruin some 1's seed day.

They will likely end up being a 3 seed if they get in.

I all need some work. I want to see Thompson again. He looked pretty good vs the couple batters he faced. I’m also hoping that Sheerin is close to getting some time.
