yep since we will never find a better coach than Leslie might as well fold the program after the leaves right pumpers???

This type of dumb shite is why the rant is absolute garbage right now (has been for a while).

"Don't want to up and fire Miles with a young team in a disappointing season? You're a fricktard who cheers for Miles over the program. Miles is deh bess omggggeezz"

Am I doing that right?

Can anyone link one poster that says Les is the best we will ever do and that if we let him go we will automatically fall back into the 90's?

Pretty sure everyone that is hesitant about firing him right this second is of the belief that hiring a new coach is an educated crap shoot and, of course, it could turn out great. But it also could end in disaster (hence, the 90's comments).

70 coaches have better winning percentages currently than Miles did when we hired him.

70 current coaches.

you truly believe this?????

indeed.

the L in LSU actually stands for Les in my mind. He built LSU and once he leaves we are out of the big 6.

EIGHT coaches have coached in the SEC in the last decade and better winning percentages than Miles.

Miles has winning percentage at LSU of 785. Now, I do think it's cute that we're now pretending that Miles having a better winning percentage at Okie St than Jimmy friggin' Johnson is a negative, but I do think if we're evaluating Miles at LSU we should use his record at LSU.

785 is the standard to judge Miles' performance at LSU considering that's what he has done at LSU.

Who says we cant get someone better than Miles? Coaches with better winning... ON TOP OF THAT (For their careers) EIGHT coaches have coached in the SEC in the last decade and better winning percentages than Miles. Meyer 127-23 for 85% Jimbo Fisher 55-10 for 84.6% Saban 173-58-1 for ~75% Malzahn 28-7 for 80% Fulmer 152-52 for 74.5% Freeze for 53-20 for 74% Richt 133-47 for 74% Petrino 90-33 for 73.4% Note: Sumlin is just below Miles at 70%. Pelini is just below as well sitting at 72%.

I've seen some absolutely idiotic arguments from you before but this one takes the cake. So hugh freezes wins at Arkansas state and sumlin wins in Houston at the house that briles built count the same as miles wins in the big 12 and sec. That's not even taking into account their records over the last 3 years while in the same conference. Your positions while being an utter dumbass who has deluded himself into thinking he's smart has seriously made me reconsider my opinion that miles needs to go. Typically I try to avoid positions shared by fools.

So you seriously think the 1st year coach at Army, which is 3-7, is better than Miles? Cause you've got him on there.

I like how we're calling for Les' firing as a result of performance at LSU, yet making the basis of that argument his record without LSU

I'll probably get blasted for this but if les was fired or stepped down in the next year or two I would definitely want tommy tuberville as our coach.

I'm not.

My OP is talking about a potential replacement. As such, their winning percentage comparable to Miles comes into play.

70 current coaches would be better on paper than Miles was when he was hired.

There are none, thus making the nega strawman false.

Sure, LSU could probably hit a home run with a new coach a la Hugh Freeze/Malzahn/etc... but we could also swing and miss terribly
