worse red zone "offense" I've ever seen

Do you even LSU vs Florida, 2016? That was pre-Canada and that red zone "offense" was all on Coach O and the "thinking man's quarterback".

o haters- he made a terrible hire since he didn't do a good enough background check

then complain when he fires him and they have no idea why other than assuming it was all coach O to blame

Give me a fricking break. I was quoting someone who said O is in a lose-lose situation. I think it's an obvious win-win. No matter what he does or doesn't do, it's someone else's fault because according to some, he doesn't actually do anything. I thought Canada was a good hire on paper when it happened and I think he did a solid, not great job this year given it was his first year and all of the outside factors. Obviously he's gone after 1 year so it wasn't a good fit and didn't work out. I'm not the one that is supposed to vet candidates and make sure they will mesh with whatever the hell vision O has for LSU and with his ego. That's on O. I guess good for him for fixing his own frick up? Now our young, inexperienced offensive players will learn their 2nd system in 2 years. WE COMIN'!

Eaux hired Canada based on Dave Aranda's recommendation. Aranda had coached against Canada and lost by 3 points. The same year (I believe) he bought a house from Canada while moving to Wisconsin.

When Kiffin fell through, Eaux asked Aranda who the thought was the OC he had faced that was the hardest to prepare for and defend against. The rest is history.

I hope you realize by defending O, this makes it look worse.

Who is running the team? O, Aranda, Alleva?

Damn man, too much caffeine is not good for you. Your apparent emotional state over an OC move that may not even happen is quite alarming.

When it's a good hire, like the new OL coach, it's all O. He's the best CEO and everyone wants to work with him.

When it's a hire that ends up not working out, like Canada, it's Aranda or Alleva throwing their weight around or some political conspiracy.

It's like last year, O got credit for keeping Aranda. Like he's the reason he was at LSU still.

Same thing with Canada, everyone fell in love. Noted what a great hire Ed O made. Now that o doesn't like him, he's garbage.

If Alleva really did force this on him, it just screams I don't have faith in you to pick the rt OC.

That goes back to, Why the frick was Orgeron hired then?

I think you and 2006 thinking that a boss should never ask for anyone's opinion on matters especially personnel moves is what looks worse.

Coach works on Saturday's and probably doesn't have time to watch every college and NFL football game. But according to idiots here he is supposed to sit in a room by himself, not talk to anyone and make a hire to his staff.

Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

You do realize you are melting over a stupid comment that was made in this very thread don't you?

Sure, buddy. You know damn well you're trying your hardest to deflect any blame from O on making a hire that didn't work out. Just weeks after you repeatedly for months fluffed O for making such an amazing hire. "THE ONLY BROYLES CANDIDATE ON OFFENSE!!!!"

Oh, so you are so distraught over how Canada is viewed by posters on this message board? Makes sense.

No I'm just saying that I think you are an idiot for what you are saying.

Example:
A CEO of a corporation wants to add a salesman to the staff. Problem is he is not in sales and never has been. How do you think he will approach the hire?

If it was me I would talk to my current sales staff and ask them who their biggest competition is. Who do they lose sales to the most.

Not just blindly hire some guy off the street who embellished his resume.

I still don't see the problem with the move. I have nothing against Matt Canada and think he is damn good at his job. Sometimes for whatever reason things don't work out.

I guess that $10M recommendation was worthless.
