If the gun was stolen then he would have probably been charged with possession of a stolen fire arm.

Why does it seem so many people want to make this more than it is?

If was my gun. Bought it from academy. I was letting Clyde borrow it.

Anymore questions?

Who cares. It does not matter as to whether the shooting was justified.

May get him a separate unrelated charge if there is a problem depending on the facts.

If the gun was stolen or otherwise illegal we probably would know by now.

“At least two” handguns were recovered from the scene, and none of the guns present had been reported stolen, McKneely said

Edwards-Helaire and Small were released from police questioning Saturday evening without arrest after they had been detained for several hours following the shooting.

What’s your point? Are you thinking the 2-hour police interrogation didn’t review that info and you’re going to share something with them?

And do you think anyone on tRant would really have that info anyway?

RA’d for stupidity. Admins, please WHACK this ridiculous thread.

It’s none of your business. What if his dad bought it for him? My 19 yr old daughter has a Ruger LCR that I gave her for protection.

Given the facts that CEH stayed on scene, the gun was handed to police immediately (they didn't have to go find it), and it takes all of 2 minutes to run a gun to see if it was stolen.....I would say it's not stolen. Common sense tells you this, but lots of people here seem to be lacking it.

That won't stop some of these racist for trying to paint CEH into a cold blooded, thug, killer though.

Have not seen any statement released from the DA's office that it was ruled self defense, that the police released them without charging means nothing, it will take days, not hours to even complete a investigation.

It’s fricking bizarre.

Actual LSU fans are here trying to conjure up things CEH might have done wrong. The police said it was self defense. Why isn’t that enough for some people?

I know you are wishing very much that CEH gets charged with murder, for some weird reason, but it bodes pretty well that the police do not feel they have even reasonable suspicion to charge him. The DA needs more than that to go anywhere with it, so it's just a formality.

Then again, I'm sure you know this. It must be tough to have to battle yourself between what you know is logical, and your racist tendencies.

Chill the frick out. I was just asking about the gun. Why are you people acting so defensive? I want it to be all good just like the rest of you. Stop turning on your own kind. I just want to know about the gun and if it was legally owned. fricking relax. Jesus.
